This is just ridiculous. Keir needs to get a handle on it soon otherwise Boris will be retaining that 80 seat majority at the next election too.

The original crime, apparently, was to like a tweet saying that women have cervixes. That was all she did.

The fake tweets to try to justify the homicidal levels of rage are normal for this lot. They did it to JKR, Glinner, Maya Forstater. It's interesting, because it's a tacit admission that there really wasn't enough there to begin with. If you have to lie to be able to defend your position, your position is clearly indefensible.

Thank you, @wellbehavedwomen. Interestingly I follow a man on twitter who has tweeted something quite close to the sentiments of JK Rowling and he also pointed out that he could say it without getting a pile-on. It’s quite startling.

I have better things to do than emailing Starmer in support of Duffield this evening but I'm going to have to do it aren't I.

Let's be honest - this is nothing to do with excluding transmen from and everything to do with ensuring the word women doesn't exclude men.

A couple of thousand of actual women have never been able to change the entire political landscape, as everyone bloody knows.

It feels like the TRAs have overreached. It's quite likely I'm wrong but this carry on isn't supposed to take place in front of the public and is not supposed to be associated with the behind the scenes lobbying that's traditionally got the changes they've pushed for.

I do have some sympathy for MPs who have bleated TWAW without giving it much thought, but these attempts to bin the word woman in certain contexts are happening precisely because enough people agreed that anyone can be a woman and it's "nothing to do with biology". What did they expect?

There really is a visible escalation since press reports of the GRA consultation outcome.

Furious ranting at the labour leadership is completely ineffective as they won't make any difference to the plans.

All that's happening is a demonstration of how seriously nasty the supposedly "inclusive" approach is. They can rant till they are hoarse, no one cares what they have to say anymore, now we've heard how selfish and ridiculous it is.

I'm quite amused that she deleted a tweet praising Whittome as someone who is calling for mature nuanced debate, and not another eager proponent of the new stasi.

Bit her on the arse, somewhat, I would say.

Oh, and YY, the TRAs I've seen online in recent days have seemed increasingly frantic and angry, and very much on the back foot. None of this kind of thing helps their cause, plus the BBC and the NHS changing their advice about gender dysphoria, especially in regards to 'treatments' for under 18s, has got them proper spooked. Unlike the rational people who see caution and wisdom as positive things in untested and likely permanent experimental medical practice, and think it's important to use clear language if you want to be 'inclusive'.
