has had to lock down her Twitter account after being inundated with hate for saying women have cervix’s

The TRA are now spamming labour with complaints about her transphobia & demands she is sacked

I’m planning to email my support fir her copying in Keir Starmer

(And yes of course LOJ is involved!)

@teawamutu

Then Angela has either never spoken to Madigan, or is thick as mince.

In neither case do I feel she's Deputy PM material.

Well she appears to have met (so I presume has spoken to) Madigan

@HecatesCat

I'm assuming you mean sticks for burning there Kit? Wouldn't want your post to be taken out of context.

Yes indeed I mean the bundles of sticks traditionally used to burn witches.

Crikey - that was a telling clip. Angela really doesn’t get the sisterhood does she.

And to think women make the majority of Labour MPs yet they still have difficulty supporting their own. Shameful

KnightsofColumbusThatHurt · 06/10/2020 18:22

The comments on that Sky News clip though. I think the sunlight is finally streaming through!!!

ArabellaScott · 06/10/2020 19:40

Hadn't been aware of Angela Raynor before. On the basis of the little bits I've seen on this thread, she seems to me to be someone who isn't applying much thought to her words. Instead using every chance to speak as an opportunity to criticise the government with manufactured outrage. People see right through this, you know. It's such tiresome, ineffective political posturing.

testing987654321 · 06/10/2020 19:50

Never mind the sisterhood, I am more concerned at the lack of gravitas. A deputy leader waffling on about how we must make everyone feel "valid".

Valid point Grin but after the great JC with his enthusiasm for validation - I don’t think I notice anymore!

ArabellaScott · 06/10/2020 20:06

'validate

To validate is to prove that something is based on truth or fact, or is acceptable. It can also mean to make something, like a contract, legal.'

  • from vocabulary.com

So it seems to 'validate' someone is to agree that they are correct, acceptable, no matter what? It's an odd idea. Is everyone able to be validated? For everything? Does this mean criticising someone or disagreeing is seen as 'invalidating' them?

Good one Errol, that's how I feel whenever I hear the valid talk.

Is anyone else waiting for the 'we are a broad church' speech from Keir, when he is at last forced to say something about this? Don't forget, the TUC is in favour of self i-d, (often thought this was because lots of these old guys have probably wished for the chance.......)

"When I see what's been happening on social media in terms of the debate around women's rights and trans women's rights it's been toxic."

@AngelaRayner
says MP Rosie Duffield should '"reflect" on comments she made about transgender people.

"The last thing you need is people debating whether you're valid or not"

Sounds deep Hmm until you remember that Rosie Duffield was scolded for suggesting that only women have a cervix.
Ffs, get a grip Labour.

SunsetBeetch · 07/10/2020 13:15

It'll never be enough

"The Labour Party is institutionally transphobic.

@OwenJones84

@Keir_Starmer

@RosieDuffield1

@MarshadeCordova

@LGBTLabour

#TransRightsAreHumanRights"

Ah, dear. I can't believe this nonsense is threatening to bring down the Labour party. What a waste.

andyoldlabour · 07/10/2020 13:40

So, there I was last night, surfing through the TV channels and I stumbled upon this little gem from KMTV the Kentonline channel. As you will see, the standard of journalism is very shoddy.
I bet the majority of people listening to this will wonder WTF is happening.

Particularly since the majority of people in the UK aren't even on twitter.

I know Arabella : it's really embarrassing.

andyoldlabour · 07/10/2020 15:24

Someone on twitter says - "only women have a cervix" or words to that effect. Rosie Duffield likes that tweet, because it is true, irrefutably true.
Then the accusations of transphobia are hurled at her, calls for her to be booted out of the Labour Party.
The bar for "transphobia" is so low that it no longer exists. In the new World we live in, any word or action can "identify" as being transphobic.

Rubidium · 29/12/2020 23:24

Uh oh, Rosie Duffield's been found guilty of liking the wrong tweets again:

Keep going Rosie! Don't let the bastards get you down!

I see her persecutor George Aylett is in a group called Compassion in Politics -- not for women, eh George?

And yet the Labour Party has no idea why it is so unpopular it actually managed to lose its traditional rock-solid bastion of support in the north of England last year.

Wandawomble · 30/12/2020 01:52

And it’s over Eddie the Lesbian!

Collidascope · 30/12/2020 05:58

What a lovely, intelligent, not-at-all-unhinged man George Aylett seems to be.

andyoldlabour · 30/12/2020 11:28

That is a fine ratio on the twitter feed. The public's eyes are well and truly open.
