So Dominos has cancelled its offer of free pizza to "Karens" that it made on social media a few days back. The reason for this cancellation is the backlash it received from the wokies, who aren't very happy that white women are being rewarded with free pizza (lol), because they're entitled, privileged, and use their skin colour in nefarious ways.

George Floyd was killed by a black man, but I don't see any male get called a "Derek". The whole thing would make you think men are sweet, innocent little angels who never do anything wrong. Yes, there are many women who want to be seen as ‘not like other women’, in an effort to be ‘cool’ and appease men, even if it means shitting on other women. Internal misogyny defiantly exists.

That’s it, in a nutshell. Though I don’t think the rage is real. I can’t just see them sitting there, rubbing their hands with glee, when they spot another opportunity to verbally attack females.

Depends where you work I suppose. If you work in a women's clothing shop, then yes, most of the complaints will be from women.

Restaurants, I should imagine are an entirely different matter. Even spread in terms of customers.

I met lovely customers of both sexes and horrible ones...more lovely than horrible

I have worked retail and can confirm there were just as many male Karens. Also some non-white ones. Essentially there is a certain type of consumerist entitled behaviour that makes me cringe no matter who is doing it.

it's an interesting thread on Twitter. Dominos obviously thought they were doing something fun and lighthearted and kind. They didn't anticipate the anger of the woke crowd at this, because they made the error of assuming the woke crowd were genuinely driven by some kind of concern for justice and not by sheer misogynistic bile.

I like how the wokies are exposing themselves there. Even to a casual observer, there's no doubt to give these people the benefit of, and I think that is happening more and more. if the woke don't get the authoritarian dystopia they're going for, they will be universally reviled in short order.

Chad isn't the male version - AFAIK its 'Ken' for middle aged men or 'Kyle' for younger men. The fact that there isn't actually any real clarity on the terms really does highlight how much more 'Karen' is used as an insult towards women.

Indeed. Which just shows that it's not about a certain type of person.

It's about any woman you can abuse with the name you have decided to link to a specific behaviour. Behaviour which could broadly be described as 'disagreeing with you'.

And they are so high on their own addiction to abusing women, they can't see that their gleeful, spittle filled rage, is visible from space.

There is a certain type of person that one instinctively avoids in real life. Weird, with the vibe that says you wouldn't believe what's going on in my head. These are the people who want to have a collective name for any woman they take a dislike to. Which is basically all of them.

Exactly. And the behaviour they are referring to, whether they know it or not, derives from the USA where it is used as a slur against middle-aged 'privileged' white women, inferring that they are racists.

i think a lot of people really are confused with the us and the uk.
i dont believe karens are the entitled racists in this country- they are usually w/c and often black (at least my friends are)
