I was surprised that it was women and non binary then remembered women will include self ID

The bit that confuses me is that gender id is relatively new. How will they decide if people from history are non-men or men?

SirSamuelVimesBlackboardMonito · 22/07/2020 18:13

Right, done Martina Navratilova for Wimbledon now as well.

Elizabeth Garrett Anderson for DLR Shadwell

After qualifying as a doctor, she was initially allowed to become a visiting physician to the East London Hospital for Children on Glamis Road in Shadwell.

ShinyFootball · 22/07/2020 18:14

Also who is organising this?
I doubt any stations in city of London for example will be allowed to have any women (cunty) on their tube stations of city of London has anything to do with it.

PamDenick · 22/07/2020 18:16

Mary Whitehouse

@growinggreyer

I didn't mention anything to do with her GC stance, just how inspiring her work is for children and the tourism she brings to KC.
Me too, seems a safer reason to give unfortunately
PamDenick · 22/07/2020 18:18

EndoplasmicReticulum · 22/07/2020 18:18

I put Rosalind Franklin down for Temple station as she worked at King's College London and it's nearest to there.

Let’s help make London a city of Women !! And....er...non binary people. So by that do they mean women with short hair, or not women at all ?
So depressing, most people I know have no idea what non binary even means, so they are only targeting the young. Ageist as well as sexist.

Gatehouse77 · 22/07/2020 18:31

Amy Winehouse - Camden Town

Not a role model I’d want my kids to aspire to, I’m afraid.

Calyx72 · 22/07/2020 18:35

Nominated JK Rowling for Kings Cross.

Women and non-binary people. What's the actual point Confused

Ritascornershop · 22/07/2020 18:36

Amy was a brilliant lyricist and a wonderful vocalist, her addictions did not sum her up.
