What exactly do they think "female" means? In order to get cervical cancer one must have a cervix. Which one will not have if one is female. This is really not that complicated.

This is 100% part and parcel of the compromise some have been willing to make on the word 'woman'. It's fine, they said, what does it matter if we say TWAW, we'll just focus on the word 'female' and 'woman' can be a broader, cultural term that TW can be part of.

Thing is, Pink News does not actually report the news. If you've ever taken a journalism class, first thing they teach you is that news reports should contain the following at a minimum - who, what, when, where, how. What they definitely should not strive for is a histrionic tone. I'm not sure what to call what Pink News do, but "news reporting" it most definitely is not.

I admit , I did giggle at “disgustingly transphobic lie” because the language is hilariously over the top - like something out of Brass Eye. It’s like me getting hysterical at someone blandly reporting the earth is not flat. Anyway, this kind of reporting is why it’s so important to reiterate that sex matters and it’s protected by the Equality Act. Doesn’t this also show that ... er ...maybe jk Rowling was right when she said that sex is being erased ? Males don’t have cervixes!
