I am trans.

I was a follower of Munroe Bergdorf’s Instagram.

Munroe wrote a post about JK Rowling, calling her a dangerous woman to the trans community. Munroe stayed something along the lines of

“JKR is a dangerous cisgendered, white woman who is causing harm”

I replied to this post, asking why Munroe felt it necessary to mention JK Rowing’s racial identity.

I wasn’t Abusive. I just felt that it wasn’t necessary, in regards to what Munroe was being critical of, to mention JK Rowling’s ethnicity.

Within minutes my post was deleted and I was blocked.

I am trans, and Munroe has silenced me.

So it seems nothing can be questioned. Any intent to ask a question, or to strike up debate, will be met with being silenced.

This is fast turning into propaganda. This is fast turning into thought crime. This is fast turning into silencing. This is fast turning into something it should never have been.

When a trans person isn’t even able to question another trans person, what chance do “people who belong to sex that menstruate”* have?

• Christ, I don’t even feel like I can use the word women here without being controversial.

I am so sorry for people to whom I thought I identified alongside (trans people) who are doing this to you. I feel sick and ashamed of what I am, because of people who are representing me.

I feel like I literally have no space left. And I can’t help but feel that a lot of biological woman are feeling the same way. And you have so much more to lose than I ever will, so I simply can’t imagine how this is making you all feel.

Two to three women A WEEK killed in the UK by men.

So you will forgive me for not stopping my campaign to support women who are vulnerable in order to protest about trans women being killed in the USA where they have guns FFS. And voted for Trump.

One of the worst things about TRAs like Bergdof is that they use JKR’s race as a stick to falsely beat her with. Apparently only white “cis” women can be “Terfs”. They never even consider the fact that many black women like me, disagree with their cult and want to protect women’s hard won rights and spaces. This in itself is racist. We apparently can’t think for ourselves. I’ve seen this so many times. Going down the race route is a common tactic for them, add a bit of racism to the shouts of transphobia, rape and death threats. TRAs often state that black women will be adversely affected by safe-guarding in single sex spaces. Basically saying that natal black women are in the same category as Trans women. Nice bit of misogynoir! Lily Madigan is an example of a TRA who has posted this on Twitter but I’ve seen so many posts along these lines.

Please evidence this fact. Also define what constitutes an "alarming rate"? Because women are currently dying at the rate of 3 a week, due to lockdown stress, just from male domestic violence. While there is less than one murder of a trans person of either sex per year in the UK.

To whom is this becoming more apparent each day? Is there an apparant forecasting system that has websites on a list with an echo measure attached? I follow a bunch of weather sites and none of them have a unacceptable feminist echo measurement on them. I think therefore, with reasonable doubt, that you may be smelling your own hot air.

Maybe 3 murdered women a week is not alarming but less than one trans person murdered a year is. Why would that be?

You're sounding like Trump supporters by the day. Making up false narratives about some big agenda that doesn't exist.

What's the plan, to bring white women only down? Is your belief that other women dont see the 'real' issue at hand? Maybe black women are protesting about pay gaps and dying in child birth when we really should be worried about transwomen, black cis men, or maybe BLM and the secret agenda . Maybe we're just too stupid to see.

Come into the real world and be actual feminists. Ask marginalised women what their actual concerns are and I think you'll find, overwhelmingly, that racism is a bigger issue than trans anything.

In fact, as a black woman, racism is by far a bigger issue in my life than sexism.

It would be good if my MN 'feminist sisters' could use their voices to help me gain a semblance of equality.

Thank God MN is not a representation of the progressive voice, white women included. I spend most of my time in spaces with people who dont look like me and that's clearly not the case here.

Yes so have I. It's weird how women are expected to be the support humans for this movement, but even more so black women, from what I can see.

This is not a fact. Black trans women are murdered at a rate lower per capita than black women, or women in general. An average of 3 women - biological women - are murdered daily in the US.

Approximately 18 black trans women have been murdered in the US in 2020.

There have been at least 16 DV killings in the UK during Covid lockdown between March and April.

7 women in the first 7 weeks of 2020 in Australia.

All murdered by men.
