Why the Feminism board wasn't banned by Mumsnet

Because, despite Reddit's best efforts, there are still many people believe that women have a right to discuss issues that affect them. Women will continue speaking.

We absolutely should be celebrating that mumsnet FWR is still here.

As many people have pointed out Reddit hosts discussion boards where rape and sexual abuse fetishes are freely discussed, so the justification of removing a board which discusses women’s rights is barely disguised misogyny at its very finest.

I am 39 years old I am pig sick of being told to be nice, be kind, don’t talk about that you
might upset someone. Whilst men can talk about assaulting, abusing and raping women without worrying about being judged negatively I will do all it takes to make sure women’s voices are heard.

I don't think women should tell other women what opinions they can and can't have. So what if people on reddit don't agree with this forum? That's the nature of the Internet, we don't have to like everything on it. So just crack on with your own discussions and let those who don't agree have their own discussions

Why hasn't MN closed down Feminism Chat? There's no good reason for them to - this is just women discussing issues that affect us. If you believe in free speech, then why would you close down the feminism board?

If you were to look at it from a purely commercial point of view, then you've got two countervailing pressures: one is that some advertisers have withdrawn advertising because of the supposed "transphobia" on this board; the other is that this board draws in huge numbers of users, probably more than AIBU and chat.
