This is what I meant when I said I didn't like the tone but agreed with the sentiment. Personally I'm trying to channel Michelle Obama and rise above, though not always succeeding.

I don't think women should tell other women what opinions they can and can't have. So what if people on reddit don't agree with this forum? That's the nature of the Internet, we don't have to like everything on it. So just crack on with your own discussions and let those who don't agree have their own discussions

It works both ways. Nobody should tell anyone else what opinions to have. The reason I mentioned women was because of women on here saying women on the reddit pages shouldn't have the opinions they have (and yes there are women and men on that subreddit). 2 women are allowed to have different opinions on feminist issues.

I don't much care for anyone telling me how to think or what opinions I should have, to be honest.

Reddit is not somewhere I'm inclined to venture, so I keep out of all that side of it. I like my blood pressure to remain stable

Its so hard to 'get' feminism until your biology chucks you in at the deep end. I know some young women are on it straight away, but most arent. Most of us have to get royally shafted first, sadly.

Reddit is a HUGE platform which has a lot of different spaces. It's not some awful place like people on here seem to make out. You can easily focus on sub reddits which interest you and share your opinions without ever coming across the horrible parts. People seem to assume because there are bad parts of reddit that the whole site is like that but it's simply not true. It's basically one of the biggest forums on the Internet.
