It's going to take time but there will be a hell of a lot of red faces when the court cases start concluding. Sigh.

Kit19 · 27/06/2020 11:53

Luckily I don’t shop with them & now never will

Its astonishing how trans ppl are incredibly powerless & voiceless and yet seem to be able to leverage in huge corporates in a way say organisations for ppl with learning difficulties or autism are unable to

LouHotel · 27/06/2020 11:55

Wow they are raking it in this year - surely there are other charities that are specifically for the well being of transgender people that are not problematic.

onalongsabbatical · 27/06/2020 11:56

God make it stop. Fucking idiots.

Datun · 27/06/2020 11:58

These relationships are not going to survive the sunlight. Everything is kicking off.

Tesco, Amazon, they just a little slow to see the writing on the wall.

Aye, corporate wonks catching onto the tail end of a wave just before it crashes spectacularly, is the image I have.
SerenityNowwwww · 27/06/2020 12:05

Are you fucking kidding me? Amazon prime too.

An enquiry can’t come soon enough. Kids Company type day of reckoning is coming. With lawsuits.

Kit19 · 27/06/2020 12:06

Kids company.....

merrymouse · 27/06/2020 12:06

www.leighday.co.uk/Employment-discrimination/Equal-pay-claims/Tesco-equal-pay-claim

Tesco is currently facing an equal pay claim because store workers (mainly women) are being paid £3 less an hour than warehouse workers (mainly men).

Meanwhile Tesco are supporting the creators of the Barbie/GI Jo Gender spectrum.

Well I suppose 'Every Little Helps' if you want to justify the gender stereotypes that enable the pay gap.

merrymouse · 27/06/2020 12:09

Tesco are obviously free to support whoever they want, but they should also probably watch Newsnight.

SerenityNowwwww · 27/06/2020 12:10

Hasn’t pride month ended yet? Jesus isn’t started in June last year and was still dragging its ass along at the start of uni term. Plus the takeover of IWD. Give it a bloody rest.

merrymouse · 27/06/2020 12:14

Hasn’t pride month ended yet?

I wouldn't mind if it was actually about gay people.

SerenityNowwwww · 27/06/2020 12:18

Why is a whole bloody month that goes over the whole year (and not actually about gay people anymore)? And the new flag an assault on the eyes.

StealthPolarBear · 27/06/2020 12:22

"An enquiry can’t come soon enough. Kids Company type day of reckoning is coming. With lawsuits."
Are they? I wish I was convinced.

Snorkers · 27/06/2020 12:31

I was going to go to Tesco today to stock up, but won't set foot in there again with immediate effect.

SerenityNowwwww · 27/06/2020 12:33

Stealth - it always does in the end. I can wait.

Rockluvvindad · 27/06/2020 12:33

God make it stop. Fucking idiots.

This. Do they not care that kids are being experimented on with the blessing of Mermaids ? I seem to recall that there was a bunch of people who did this in the 1930's and 40's... Seemed to be considered evil at the time, now it's progressive.

Fucking mental.

Anonymum263 · 27/06/2020 12:34

@BaronessSnippyPantsofCroneArmy What was the "Jane Fae incident"?

NotAGirl · 27/06/2020 12:35

The last 'niche' charity to get this level of corporate support was Kids Company Hmm

The more alternatives I'm having to find for these companies the less likely I am to ever go back to them. Small businesses are getting more of my money directly.

Lightsareon · 27/06/2020 12:35

Ah shit, where am I gonna shop now? Angry

MorrisZapp · 27/06/2020 12:37

Pride is the new Christmas. The build up is wearying, the event itself disappointing, the the purpose entirely commercial. Tattered rainbows all year round are the new municipal lights still up in April.

There's nothing so pure that it can't be ruined by the truly determined.

BaronessSnippyPantsofCroneArmy · 27/06/2020 17:03

Anonymum263 Tesco sponsored Diva Magazine's Lesbian Visiblity Week, and when it was pointed out by many women (via email and on Twitter) that Jane Fae was neither a lesbian nor a suitable role model for a supposedly family friendly supermarket they were ignored.

Are all the large supermarkets captured? At the moment I get deliveries from Tesco. Who should I use instead, without breaking my bank account?

corlan · 27/06/2020 17:24

Dave Lewis is still the Chief Exec of Tesco. You can email him on:- [email protected].
