She will be remembered for this - a woman who wasn’t afraid to face the abuse and stand up for her sex. I wish I was a brave and as principled as her.

I bloody hope Daniel Radcliffe reads that and has a long hard think about his nauseating apology for her. I hope he’s apologised to her personally, though I’m certain he won’t have the courage to address any of this publicly. Just apologise for any trans people who’ve been hurt and fuck vulnerable, abused women.

And the Body Shop tweet is disgusting, but the responses are brilliant. I read hundreds and only two of those were at all supportive of it, most were horrified.

Dances, the same has happened to me In various replies from MPs/consultations - I explained my experiences of sexual assault, and the effects losing female only spaces would have, and got back letters with no acknowledgement that I'd spoken :) just saying blah blah blah be kind to transwomen, suicide blah blah

The Body Shop - whoever is manning their twitter - just has no idea. Who do they think their customer base is?!

Eddie Redmayne - just fuck right off with your opinion on JKR. SHe is magnificent, talented and brave. You really are mediocre at best.

Daniel Radcliffe is such a little shite weasel, do you think he will read it or think about it? I just can't imagine what goes through people's minds joining in such awful abuse, coming out on the side of the abusers. I can't imagine doing this to anyone I know, never mind someone he has presumably had a long working relationship with and got such support from.

This is such a powerful piece of writing. Thank you a million times over JKR for standing firm in the face of such vitriol.

Unfortunately most people in their twenties and younger dont fully understand the issues and are full of rage against her stance. I have had conversations which are truly depressing.

I've just replied to an Emma Watson tweet about supporting transwomen, with a supporting women comment.

I'm going to get eaten alive.

Reading some bizarre rebuttals on Twitter, entire threads of rage, all based in the most utter nonsense. Accusing her of DARVO, of white supremacy, of disregarding ethics, of using abusive autistic tropes, of encouraging suicide, of misunderstanding the Equality Act.

I’m feeling very low about this. I’ve just unfollowed more people who I knew thought differently to me on this matter but it’s just dreadful.
