I've just received the email reply from Ms Willmott, with five attachments: the already posted reply to M&S chairman, a letter to Ms Truss, a letter to Matt Hancock, a list of questions regarding single sex wards to the Department of Health and Social Care, and the short debate by Lord Lucas from February regarding single sex toilets.

She's really digging in her heels. Sunlight!

Her letter to Matt Hancock concerns single sex wards and contains attachments illustrating how the "NHS Guidelines contained in its Annex B are significantly divorced" from legislation of the Equality Act 2010.

Yes I got that too. It's horrifying how badly the Equality Act 2010 has been misrepresented. The next bit she highlights from the NHS mentions people who live permanently or temporarily in a gender role which does not conform to their natal sex. I'd really love to know what they mean by that. What is the gender role which conforms to the female sex?

What the Baroness is doing is exactly what women have been working hard to secure for quite some time - someone with a solid working knowledge of the power structures & the ability to grasp the issues, as well as ask pointed, well evidenced Qs to key & influential people. And openly too.

I frankly couldn't care less what her political leaning are/were, she's listened & asked questions & is getting shit done. Bravo to the Baroness

Totally. What “Emily” needs to realise is that no one thinks they are a threat. However equally their wants do not override the needs of other children and they can’t just barge into sex segregated spaces that belong to the opposite sex.
