Posted his request about 5 minutes ago (or at least thats when I saw it) on twitter.

Im not even particularly anti trans, but when I see attempts to whip up mobs like that, I feel that hes making people anti trans.

Sort makes me want to resort to making insidious dog whistle anti trans rhetoric just to fuck with him.

Leaving his trans stance aside, going by the rest of his twitter offerings, hes definitely not the person I would want as a GP. Lacks decorum and gravitas.

The Enraged Penfold persona probably wasn't the best choice from a charisma perspective.

I liked the cookies/analytics permissions message when I clicked on their site - something along the lines of “you can’t have your milk without cookies.” That’s some subversive genius at work in their branding/comms dept. I love quirky.

Just coming back to this - when I saw it all kicking off I stepped away because I just couldn't be doing with another company running scared/genuflecting as soon as they heard the word transphobia.

Very much encouraged by this. Would not have happened a year or so ago.

Companies are maybe realising that they are there to sell stuff to consumers. Some alliances are toxic and can damage the bottom line.

A seller of a natural food (ie pretty much as it comes) won’t want to be associated with toxic tantrumers, rather a reliable market - who buys the shopping? Who isn’t buying/not buying on the basis of a trend or fashion?

Its not a great optic that almost every time theres a trans event, there is some kind of dodgy person in or near it. Pretty sure Peter was closely connected to PIE back in the day.

One day Haddock will be 40. I have no idea why he is so dismissive of this age. Perhaps he will mature and grow as a person and come to realise he acted like a twonk or he will continue to be a massive tool. I hope for the former but suspect it will be the latter.
