Dr Adrian Harrop (a trans activist) just asked for screen shots of anti trans statements posted here at MN

Posted his request about 5 minutes ago (or at least thats when I saw it) on twitter.

Im not even particularly anti trans, but when I see attempts to whip up mobs like that, I feel that hes making people anti trans.

Sort makes me want to resort to making insidious dog whistle anti trans rhetoric just to fuck with him.

Leaving his trans stance aside, going by the rest of his twitter offerings, hes definitely not the person I would want as a GP. Lacks decorum and gravitas.

So Arla Farmers can't be in Adrian Harrop's ''gang'?

"Arla is a European dairy cooperative with a global reach. It's owned by 12,000 dairy farmers, around 2,500 of whom are in the UK. Our cooperative roots go all the way back to the 1880s, and our structure means that we work together to create a sustainable long term future for the dairy industry. Our farmer ownership means that all of Arla’s profits go back to our farmer owners, and that the owners take an active part in deciding how we grow and develop our business."

I bet they're absolutely gutted Hmm

WeBuiltCisCityOnSeeingSouls · 17/04/2020 12:23

God he's so fucking pompous.

justanotherneighinparadise · 17/04/2020 12:28

Off to update my tesco order right now. I know Lurpak is already in there. Just need to check yogurts, update milk etc 👌

popehilarious · 17/04/2020 12:55

I've said this before but when a family member came out as trans on Twitter, and was having vaguely civil chats with TRAs about gender identity etc the first thing they were asked was what their 'gender assigned at birth' was. Everyone is interested in whether you're born male or female, so I don't get the pretence that it's a GC thing.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 17/04/2020 12:55

What is this "our community" he speaks of? LGBT? Well, technically I belong to that group and I'm pro dairy farming collectives and anti Twitter bullies.

nauticant · 17/04/2020 12:59

Obviously don't believe everything you read on twitter:

Interesting, but unsurprising, Pope. Got to establish the hierarchy before you engage, right?

SarahInAccounts · 17/04/2020 13:06

Sad little man with mummy issues.

justanotherneighinparadise · 17/04/2020 13:15

@nauticant 😯

nauticant · 17/04/2020 13:16

Here's Harrop tweeting sciency stuff presented through an ideological lens:

twitter.com/AdrianHarrop/status/1249252948498055168

It's just very peculiar indeed.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 17/04/2020 13:24

"My GP blocked me on Twitter" sounds like something lifted from a wacky comedy script.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 17/04/2020 13:34

Wait, Twitter says they do Cravendale? As in cats with thumbs? They just get better and better.

truthisarevolutionaryact · 17/04/2020 13:34

it does seem that the narcisssistic aspects of trans activism seem to be going down with the general public like a cup of cold sick at the moment
This perfectly sums it up. It seems that there's been a massive wake up by the population generally about the more oppressive and intimidatory aspects of the ideology. As the mainstream press (excluding obv the Guardian) have increasingly publicised all the no platforming, threats and bullying that are issued against anyone who questions safeguarding, the grooming of children and the TWAW mantra people have become increasingly aware & horrified. Put that in the context of these awful times, there's a real shift in understanding who is really stunning and brave. Bullies and narcissists don't make the cut any more.

Lordfrontpaw · 17/04/2020 13:38

A doctor, huh...

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 17/04/2020 13:40

Also, there is a TRA spamming Arla's Twitter thread with links about how wonderful the Church of Satan is. Behold those PR skillz!

Lordfrontpaw · 17/04/2020 13:41

They will get bored eventually. Must be nap time soon.

nauticant · 17/04/2020 13:44

"We are hateful, unpleasant, and very unsavory, we demand you do as we say, you must not question anything."

It's not an appealing sales pitch.

Polynerd · 17/04/2020 13:45

I want to go and buy more Arla produce now. Unfortunately I can't because MY FRIDGE IS ALREADY FULL OF IT.

ScrimpshawTheSecond · 17/04/2020 13:53

'sciency' is about right, nauticant. 'Sciencish' might work, too.

The sheer maliciousness of responding to women saying "we would really rather not have unexpected penis in areas where we're naked and vulnerable" with "those disgusting, perverted women are obsessed with our genitals!" is so telling

Yep.

Winesalot · 17/04/2020 13:56

Thank you Arla!! Love Lurpak and have a fridge full of Skyr...

Callmejudith · 17/04/2020 14:06

Excellent response. I will be buying everything Arla I can get my hands on!

WeBuiltCisCityOnSeeingSouls · 17/04/2020 14:06

Yes, there is something extremely sinister about men hearing us say "we don't want to see your penis" and yet they believe we do want it really. That mindset is all too familiar, sadly.

What's even more unpleasant and disturbing is that these men are so happy advertising that they have that they want it really, no means yes mindset so blatantly.

WeBuiltCisCityOnSeeingSouls · 17/04/2020 14:06

Sorry forgot to bold the top/quote.

merrymouse · 17/04/2020 14:06

"Your company is no friend or ally of our community" says it all really.

Imagine having so much privilege that you believe that you are somehow ill treated because a company refuses to 'be an ally'.

His problem isn't that Arla have discriminitary practices - that they won't employ members of a particular group, that they pay a particular group less, that they exclude by not providing facilities - his complaint is that they refuse to take a side in a debate that has nothing to do with their business.
