Great stuff. I remember seeing reports of MNers seeing the adult human female postcards in the Science Museum shop. Now it seems they were being deposited all over the place before the lockdown. Brava, women!

I think that really should have been preserved for posterity. Robin’s wise words on this topic are extremely enlightening and important.

At least we still have the one where Robin suggests that the dictionary definition of “woman” has a comparable emotional resonance for some people as a swastika does for others. Also very important, because words having meanings is exactly the same as symbols of totalitarian regimes that genocide countless millions of people, and we shouldn’t ever forget that.

Tell you what - I’d love to post some of these postcards in some of the pubs and bars in my local gay village. You know those boxes they have for leaflets about arts events and gigs etc.? It’d be a big up yours to whoever installed the “Genital preferences are transphobic” mosaic there.

In a gay pub? I thought gay men were totally on board with rejecting transmen as potential sexual partners.

I saw it on Christmas day 2019 attached to a bollard or something in the main gay village area of my city. It wasn't in a pub but very close to the main gay and lesbian pubs and bars. It looked like a permanent or very well-attached mosaic or sticker. Not saying which city as I want to keep my location private on here. I wish I'd taken a photo of it at the time, but it was a similar but more permanent-looking design to the attached photograph.

The location was close to the offices of the main local health promotion body for the alphabet-soup community. I wouldn't be surprised if that organisation had something to do with it. They are at least as woke as Stonewall.

@JellySlice - as I say, it wasn't in a gay pub, but from people I know, most gay men are simply not (yet) aware of this as an issue. It in no way means they think lesbians should have to have sex with male-bodied people.

Just to add, I would love to have taken it down, but it looked like a permanent fixture. I might wander over there on my daily walk and see if it's still there. I'll post an update...

Wow, that mosaic/poster/piece of doubleplus goodthink is quite something. Howlingly homophobic, of course, but best not to mention that!

If it is still there, I think one of the AHF postcards tacked on to it would enhance it enormously
