The author of Labour's trans pledge tweets 'BYE BYE HONEY!' at Boris Johnson

That's the trans pledge card that Labour's new deputy leader, Angela Rayner, and Labour's new shadow foreign secretary, Lisa Nandy, both signed.

The one that said women meeting to discuss women's rights is a hate crime.

'Floe Exotic', who is a transwoman, tweeted in block capitals 'BYE-BYE HONEY' to the news that Boris Johnson is now in intensive care.

#BeKind? Hmm

RuffleCrow · 07/04/2020 09:36

I'm no fan of Boris, but that is disgusting.

TheQueef · 07/04/2020 09:37

Fucking horror.
How did this become a Labour voice?

Melroses · 07/04/2020 09:51

Classy -not Hmm

Maybe a little social distancing needs to be practiced?

MasakaBuzz · 07/04/2020 09:52

I have sent the screen shot to Angela Rayner on Twitter and asked her to confirm one of her first acts will be to ban it. I am not holding my breathe....!!!

NotBadConsidering · 07/04/2020 09:58

Why on earth would MPs support this despicable person?

Because they were all so determined to be “on the right side of history” that they didn’t stop and do any due diligence into who they were dealing with and why. Because they’re fucking stupid.

LemonSqueezy0 · 07/04/2020 10:01

That is disgusting and needs to be addressed. Definitely exposes them both on a moral level, and also shows how safe and confident they feel to say and do exactly as they wish.

StrangeLookingParasite · 07/04/2020 10:02

Look, I dislike BoJo as much as the next person. I'm also, however, marginally civilised and not habitually a bottom-feeder when it comes to other members of the so called species!

Perfectly expressed.

Datun · 07/04/2020 10:06

Let the world see who they are aligning themselves with and who they are allowing to represent their views on this issue.

A TRA turns out to be tone deaf, immature and nasty? Shock.

Either open your eyes and start actually seeing what's going on, or continue to not care and just let everyone see exactly who you support.

Gibbonsgibbonsgibbons · 07/04/2020 10:07

And WE should be “compassionate & kind” Hmm

Horrible person

RoyalCorgi · 07/04/2020 10:07

What a vile person.

But absolutely right about Angela Rayner. The fact that she, along with Nandy and Wrong-Daily, were stupid enough to sign such a nasty pledge demonstrates that none of them has the capacity either for critical thought or even any basic political nous. All of them are no doubt astonished to discover that someone who devised a vicious, misogynistic pledge has turned out to be a pretty horrible person. Idiots.

ThePankhurstConnection · 07/04/2020 10:08

That's appalling and Labour need to deal with it, it really isnt a good luck for them - the mettle of Starmer's leadership depends on getting that house in order quick-smart. I wouldn't wish this illness or death on anyone - let alone the person running the country. I hope Boris recovers - it won't help any of us if he gets worse. I'm a (very) left leaning woman but I sincerely hope Boris recovers and his baby isn't born without a daddy. That would be awful Sad

ScrimpshawTheSecond · 07/04/2020 10:08

Reprehensible.

ThePankhurstConnection · 07/04/2020 10:09

*luck = look

koshkatt · 07/04/2020 10:14

Getting tired of the assumption that everyone on here hates Boris Johnson. I don't.

And it is crass to preface any good wishes towards him with 'I hate the man but...' as I have seen all over MN in the past 24 hours.

koshkatt · 07/04/2020 10:15

This in spades.

HorseRadishFemish · 07/04/2020 10:17

The title of the thread describes this person as the "author of Labour's trans pledge" but I've been googling away and can't find any references at all regarding who was behind it.

Could somebody provide the links, please?

If this person is the sole or even one of the authors it should be shouted from the rooftops and connected to that tweet.

AbsintheFriends · 07/04/2020 10:18

I know I shouldn't be surprised by this after all these years, but... it's the crass lack of self awareness and irony.

The TRA movement relies on the fuel of compassion. 'Be kind'. 'Do Better'. Don't offend people, prioritise the feelings of others, be inclusive, embrace glitter and rainbows and unicorns and mermaids. Don't be a hater.

Yes, feminists who've felt the iron fist in the lacy laydee glove have always know it's all one way, but I still find it shocking to see the double standard being displayed so shamelessly.

DuLANGDuLANGDuLANG · 07/04/2020 10:19

What an arsehole. I can’t believe senior politicians are associating themselves with these people.

Boris needs to be beaten at the ballot box, not taken out of the running by debilitating illness.

JanMeyer · 07/04/2020 10:22

And it is crass to preface any good wishes towards him with 'I hate the man but...' as I have seen all over MN in the past 24 hours.

Why is it crass? Do you want people to pretend to like him just because he's sick?
I hope he doesn't die because it would be a political nightmare. Beyond that i don't really care. Because I'm showing him the same level of compassion he and his party show for the sick and disabled.
You know that old saying, treat others like you'd want to be treated. Well that's what I'm doing, I'm treating him exactly like he thinks sick people should be treated.

CalmerViolet · 07/04/2020 10:26

I am glad Angela Rayner has been challenged over this.

The whole Labour Party leadership need to know who those who signed the pledge were in thrall to.

koshkatt · 07/04/2020 10:27

I am not asking people to pretend that they 'like' him, just to put compassion for another human being above getting in their political credentials. It's like people are terrified of others thinking that they may be right wing just because they wish him well. All seems a bit 6th form politics to me.

Well that's what I'm doing, I'm treating him exactly like he thinks sick people should be treated
And I think that this is a really juvenile statement btw.

PertEllaTitsahoy · 07/04/2020 10:29

Well that's us told Hmm

DidoLamenting · 07/04/2020 10:33

I think Boris was doing a good job. His personality was right for this but even if he had been terrible this is appalling.

MartiniDry · 07/04/2020 10:33

What kind of a twisted bastard would say that! What a sick wbw.

Here's Starmer's chance to pave the way for an improved Labour Party. He can call out and kick out this prick, condemn the vile tweets and show some dignity, humanity, and class or he can ignore it and hope it goes away.

Which of those he chooses will have a significant effect on my likelihood to vote labour in the future.
