They know that most people with asked gender say their sex
They know that most people don't read assigned at birth Vs birth sex and will just tick male female

The argument for altering language seems to be that most people won't understand the difference so why not.

They don’t ask what HRT people are on . They didn’t ask me - an actual woman.
