The Metro is pretty wokey blokey. I got very fed up with its anti-women stance a while ago. The independence also.

I think at least one of the prominent 'journos' at the Metro is a TW.

I assume there is someone there with an agenda. These is definitely someone there with friends (I keep seeing their faces on pieces on parties, opening events, lists of ‘top influencers’ etc). Same faces (well not always the same actual face)...

Neither of those are actual newspapers that people pay money for. The Metro is literally litter and I have no idea how the Independent keeps going but relies on clickbait.

Years ago the Independent was a very good newspaper. These days it's just a rag. That article was just someone stringing a bunch of tweets together with no commentary, no ringing to interview people or check facts. Abysmal.

I see a lot of "liberal" men and women fully on board with the TWAW mantra, and they are either oblivious to all the concerns about male-bodied people in women's and girl's spaces or they see any mention of actual incidents to be isolated, one-offs. They reject the concept of AGP's and fetish-driven "transitioning", convinced somehow that when a man says he's a woman, he suddenly becomes nice and gentle and any previous grievances against women just disappear.

That Independent article is difficult to believe. It's one thing wanting to push your own agenda, it's quite another to look like a raving bunch of zealots going out of your way to deceive - especially when every single person knows it, because they can, uh, read.

The woman who was retweeted by Jones and suffered a pile on from his followers asked where's the transphobia on the thread and silence.

I find myself thinking, in times of great stress, that even though I've been tested for COVID-19, have been in isolation, am being examined for other possibly serious health issues, am trying to get a Doctors note for work to no avail, amongst all sorts of other difficulties, that it could be worse.
