But I do like the multifarious possible meanings of her response here. She's throwing shade.

I would also like to point out that she's on the front page of the Times today because she has paid £50million in UK tax this year. She refuses to use any loop holes or off shore accounts to reduce her tax bill. The woman is amazing.

I have seen this this morning and am mostly just baffled.

It’s more important to think about why so many people believe certain falsehoods, like say for example, that sex isn’t real, than it is to try and demonstrate that sex IS real.

Totalitarianism succeeds by making people believe falsehoods and trying to convince them of the falsehood itself is very difficult. Instead we need to understand the circumstance that lead them to that point if totalitarianism is to be defeated.

During the last furore people were asking why JK Rowling was not suing people defaming her on twitter. It seemed obvious to me that that would be counter-productive. This one though, I could well imagine that it is over the line to be worth considering action.

Oh my God, the numpties posting under that manuscript tweet. What fucking planet are they on? Some people need to get off twitter and out into the real world. I’m certain the fresh air and sunlight would do them no end of good.
