I need to discuss this with people. This woman is brilliant.

Great book, just finished it. I was either muttering 'oh for fucks sake' or reading it allow to anyone! Really recommend it and it a book you can leave and come back too. I also loved Inferior.

It's now half price on Kindle so much more affordable than it was... But still not under a fiver which is my limit. It'll turn up in the charity shops eventually 😆

I have it here, but haven't read it yet. It's first on my non-fiction reading list though

Fantastic book, will also look into the other recommendations on this thread as am enjoying feminist books at the moment.

I also just finished reading ‘give birth like a feminist’ by milli hill- I know the title may be a little off-putting but it was honestly a really eye-opening look at the history of patriarchy and misogyny in childbirth and how it still absolutely informs the way women are cared for and treated during pregnancy and childbirth.

Welshmamma great idea re taking a similar data focussed look at racism I hope she does that.

I've read the whole book, keep muttering ffs and reading bits out to the family. Bought it for two teenage female relatives for Christmas and I hope it makes them angry

I saw her at Edinburgh book festival last year - a very female dominated audience. She was great!

I got it for Christmas but haven't started reading it yet. Just started reading The Vagina Bible, by Jen Gunter. It's great so far.

It's fantastic: dd got it me for Christmas (with some hints!). I find I want to dig into many of the examples in more detail: there's just so much rich data!

Like others I am reading in chunks to manage my fury and then lecturing the family over supper. DS is struggling a little as he really doesn't want to believe it's as bad as it sounds, and keeps trying to come up with reasons why the data might be flawed...

It's a brilliant book. I have read it twice and bought multiple copies for other people.

It’s brilliant. Gave my copy away but now I want to read again. Gave one to the headteacher and (male) form teacher of my kids school.

Brilliant - the kitchens! The seatbelts! The city design! The painkillers! The ... Everything!

My daughter gave me a copy last year. I loved it. However she is very woke, and considers me a bigot because of my GC views. I am baffled how she can believe that TWAW (and so there is no such thing as a biological woman) but that it matters that biological women are ignored by scientists etc. I can't ask her as we can't discuss trans issues and stay on speaking terms.
