Just stumbled upon this tweet (a teacher -supposedly- calling a female student a TERF just because she's uncomfortable with 'gender neutral' loos. It's now reached the point that this dogma is used to bully school kids , FFS.

Interestingly I've had two women complain to me about the shift to uni sex toilets. One was an older female teacher, she came out of the loo to find the head washing his hands. He had made the females uni sex over the holidays and not bothered to tell anyone.

Obviously, breaking regulations on how uni sex loos are meant to be set up, but, hey, it's only women right?

Another woman was telling me about how intimidating her old universities uni sex toilets were (in the student union), especially on a night.

Why can't we have third spaces, for those who want them. Why do women always get the shitty (or pissy) end of the stick?

If you complain, you've even got schools calling you a terf now. Creepy. I'm so so glad my kids don't go there.

I had a look at that school's twitter. It's horrifyingly political. I'm shocked it's a UK comp.

If that tweet in the OP really is directed at a current student then I think a complaint to govenors is the way forward.

Once it became clear which teacher sent it, I'd also complain to the teacher standards authority, this is against professional standards.

God I’m fuming at this. The likelihood is that some pointless numpty is in charge of the Twitter account and somehow (how?) heard of the story and tweeted it to be woke

Scrolling down their Twitter, there’s a photo of pupils modelling the Stonewall ‘Some People Are...” t shirts.

Interesting, that looks like an inner city school with a high proportion of students from ethnic backgrounds. Wonder how many of the girls (and boys) would be happy with unisex toilets.

Given they're almost certainly breaking the law on bathroom provision and are definitely using hate speech, what would be the right route of complaint? The LEA?

Jesus Christ Freda that's the HT? Can't we report to OFSTED? I mean this is just unbelievably out of order - schools have rules about indoctrination.

That was some years ago. He was sacked. But you’d think they’d be much more sensitive about safeguarding now.

I'm appalled that any school would tweet this.

I hope the governors receive a number of complaints from very concerned parents. Imagine any other abusive term being proudly tweeted to bash that very oppressed group with?

Contacts and Governor info here - they need to look at who doing their Twitter and what the hell is going on with their Safeguarding team.

this has really shocked me and going into the replies there are parents who have seen similar in their DC schools, or at least the vibe is similar, even if there aren't any receipts.

I am a bit shocked that so many parents aren't complaining - but sadly this probably means they have the same mentality as the school and aren't bothered about it?

This really does ring alarm bells of wider issues in that school.

T@RF is derogatory term used as an insult to any woman or man (mainly women) who disagree or question gender ideology.

TRA's say that it stands for Trans excluding radical feminists

TERF stands for 'Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist'.

You will be told that 'its just a descriptor' and that its perfectly fine to call a woman that.

But if you look online, you will see that it has been hurled at women by misogynists in all sorts of disgusting contexts and is finally starting to be seen as an unacceptable acronym to use.

That school's Twitter is very odd. Lots of very political posts since the holidays began. You have to scroll down quite far to get to the 'well done to our Year 10 netball team winning their match today' posts that would be typical of a school.

They do seem to have deleted the 'TERFs' tweet though.
