If this is true, how many votes may selling women out have cost her?

OP posts:
ClosdesMouches · 13/12/2019 03:53

Great news.
I'm abroad at the moment but that was worth staying awake for.

FYI Jo - woman...adult human female
Ta-ra chuck..

NickelADimeCandy · 13/12/2019 03:54

Though I think the snp candidate has drank the koolaid too

Of course she will have. It's SNP policy. If being "gender critical" is your big thing lord only knows why you are thrilled by an SNP win.

Apollo440 · 13/12/2019 03:54

Still wibbling about inclusiveness. I think the GC vote may have swung it.

NickelADimeCandy · 13/12/2019 03:56

That's hilarious. Ever heard of the SNP bill about gender equality on the boards of public bodies?

ItsNearlyMorning · 13/12/2019 03:56

The biggest reason I'm glad she is gone is because one of my Dsis is a lesbian woman and although she's butch and almost 6ft, she could never be predatory.
She's a lovely fucking woman ! An adult , human female with a womb.
I have socialised with her friends for 30 odd years and never been ogled, groped or sexually assaulted but I can't say the same for a lot of men that I've known or just random perverts.
Swinson is a diabolical creature and she has sold women out.

SingingLily · 13/12/2019 04:03

Chippenham held by Conservative Michelle Donelan.

Helen Belcher loses.
Again.
For the third time.

I guess not enough of us wanted to "Choose Change".

Knowhowufeel · 13/12/2019 04:09

SNP are definitely no better though, especially with regard to the gender crap.

Melroses · 13/12/2019 04:13

Joanna Cherry in by 12000

What a pity. I'd have loved to see her go.

I know. I don't know why "gender critical " women are cheerleading for them.

DuMondeB · 13/12/2019 04:26

Yay for J Cherry

ItsNearlyMorning · 13/12/2019 04:27

I think it's just because people loathe everything Jo Swinson stands for .
The SNP are shit. They are awful.
Really we have no decent political parties left, certainly not one many of us would feel at home with.
We've got the same dumb ass Tory in my town.
He doubled his majority I think.

Melroses · 13/12/2019 04:34

I don't think my dumbass Tory will bother declaring until the morning. They like their sleep round here.

FlyingOink · 13/12/2019 04:36

Caroline Flint seems to have worked it out. Shame she's lost her seat.

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 13/12/2019 05:44

How I hope beyond hope those 149 were MNers!!

TiredofthisBS · 13/12/2019 05:49

Word is that Layla 'I see their souls' Moran is set to replace her. Confused

Smallblanket · 13/12/2019 06:18

Political leaders need to have good instincts. Jo Swinson doesn't. Revoke article 50 was the wrong choice, playing the woke card also.

SonicVersusGynaephobia · 13/12/2019 06:51

I am pretty sure that at least 149 women in Jo Swinson's constituency saw and heard her three BBC interviews over the last week and thought "nah, can't do it".

TiredofthisBS · 13/12/2019 06:54

Sal Brinton and Ed Dave's have taken over as leaders of the Lib Dem's. That's doubling down on the gender politics.

GCAcademic · 13/12/2019 07:05

Absolutely. And she’ll know that. And have plenty of free time to reflect on it.

OverByYer · 13/12/2019 07:07

The only positive of the night. Well done to the women in her constituency.

NotBadConsidering · 13/12/2019 07:07

Someone who’s for self-ID who is Jo Swinson or someone who’s for self-ID who isn’t Jo Swinson?

Meh, good riddance.

DecemberDays · 13/12/2019 07:14

Well, yes Sonic I am one of those women. But it was partly also because Amy Callaghan had actually been out and about in the constituency talking to people and made the effort to engage in local issues which I (and presumably others) are worried about.

By far the bigger issue in Scotland now is whether the Scottish government will listen to women’s concerns; they have reform of the GRA firmly on their agenda.

That is aside from the far bigger issue of what a Conservative majority will do to poverty and women’s financial well-being and if we are on course for a showdown about independence (which we now must be).

NickelADimeCandy · 13/12/2019 07:47

Glad to see Lib Dem retained my constituency.

NickelADimeCandy · 13/12/2019 07:49

Well the SNP certainly won't be interested in "gender critical" arguments.
