If this is true, how many votes may selling women out have cost her?

OP posts:
GCAcademic · 13/12/2019 07:50

I wonder if the Lib Dems regret saying that they don’t want GC women’s votes?

theflushedzebra · 13/12/2019 07:51

The LibDems are nobodies now.

Very pleased to see Joanna Cherry back in.

NickelADimeCandy · 13/12/2019 07:53

Verydisappointed to see Joanna Cherry back in.

Even more disappointed to see Mhairi Black back in.

theflushedzebra · 13/12/2019 07:54

Yeah GCAcademic - hint to the LibDems - try NOT telling huge sections of the electorate not to vote for you. The thing about elections - votes count.

SonicVersusGynaephobia · 13/12/2019 07:55

DecemberDays it looks like Amy Callaghan has stayed away from the "debate" too. Which I take as a positive because it hopefully means she's (at least) aware of the feelings of women and is aware of the feelings of women. I'm sure she saw what Swinson said over the last week.

SonicVersusGynaephobia · 13/12/2019 07:56

Even more disappointed to see Mhairi Black back in.

Me too.

jakeyboy1 · 13/12/2019 07:56

Hahahahahah.

KatoPotato · 13/12/2019 07:58

I was be of the 149

KatoPotato · 13/12/2019 07:58

I was one of the 149*

TinselAngel · 13/12/2019 08:04

Word is that Layla 'I see their souls' Moran is set to replace her.

She will finish the job of making the LibDems a total laughing stock.

theflushedzebra · 13/12/2019 08:06

Yay Kato Brew

NickelADimeCandy · 13/12/2019 08:07

Are you expecting applause? You won't get it from me. Anyone who puts "gender critical" as part of their concerns yet votes for the SNP is a massive hypocrite.

ThatSeventiesLass · 13/12/2019 08:08

Surely now....SURELY, Self ID is dead in the water.

SonicVersusGynaephobia · 13/12/2019 08:10

Nickel sometimes you vote for the individual rather than the whole party. I couldn't vote for a candidate who had said what Swinson said last week.

The SNP has some strong feminist voices, probably a lot more than have spoken up.

NickelADimeCandy · 13/12/2019 08:10

Not in Scotland, not so far as the SNP is concerned and Holyrood can legislate on this.

GCAcademic · 13/12/2019 08:11

Surely now....SURELY, Self ID is dead in the water.

I don’t think we can be complacent. Johnson voted for the GRA back in 2004. We also need to reverse all the institutional capture that has taken place behind the public’s backs.

NickelADimeCandy · 13/12/2019 08:12

Oh ha ha. The SNP is strongly behind self id. The SNP didn't even object to an SNP MSP calling women cunts.

If you’re so adamant that voting Swinson was a mistake, you should have started posting on MN more that a couple of days ago, and on the Swinson threads to convince people otherwise. It’s too late now, polls have closed Wink.

FlyingOink · 13/12/2019 08:18

Do the SNP need to actually carry out any of their woke promises now they've decimated the opposition in Scotland?

I'm only asking because they never used to be "progressive" years ago, it was a tactic to defeat Labour, which they have now done.
They're first and foremost a nationalist party, and indyref2 is going to be a hard sell. Would they focus on that and not pleasing people with brightly coloured hair?

OverByYer · 13/12/2019 08:18

*DuMondeB

Why is she speaking? Does she identify as the winner?*

I did actually. Don't you know about name changes? The idea of not voting for Swinson to allow the SNP to win wasn't terribly bright.

Voting SNP if being "gender critical" was top of your list wasn't terribly bright either.

NotBadConsidering · 13/12/2019 08:22

I didn’t vote for anyone. I’m just glad about the message it sends to others. If you fuck about and dither with women’s rights even the mightiest can lose their seats. That’s the message the SNP will see, and all the other parties if they have any nous. Clearly Swinson had zero.

FlyingOink · 13/12/2019 08:30

Don't you know about name changes?

I'm Spartacus and I've been here for forty-eight years. Just so you know.

NickelADimeCandy · 13/12/2019 08:32

Your point being? The "Spartacus" stuff is tedious.

yellowallpaper · 13/12/2019 08:37

Revoking A50 showed true arrogance. I don't think the majority of women even knew or were interested in the LDs trans stance. Sorry.
