If this is true, how many votes may selling women out have cost her?

OP posts:
Prevegen4U · 13/12/2019 01:15

As soon as you think it can't get any better... How about that woman who wears two left shoes that don't even match - has she been ousted?

SingingLily · 13/12/2019 01:16

Long hair? That would be the same Helen Belcher.

Key member of TransWatch as well as LibDem darling.

Ibloodylovewomen · 13/12/2019 01:18

Sorry, just remembered I can't describe this person truthfully...I will use the doublethink language instead. Is Helen Belcher the woman who gave a speech to health care professionals about how cross dressers and fetishists should have access to female only hospital wards? Or have I got this woman muddled with someone else?

smileylottie87 · 13/12/2019 01:18

Twitter threads are showing lot of people pissed off that she lives down south now so should be voting there and that she has only shown her face there today in order to vote. She was so focused on becoming PM she forgot to try and become an MP.

Alongside lots of people saying it's ok, she will just identify as one and it would be hateful to suggest she isn't.

SingingLily · 13/12/2019 01:19

That would be the same Helen Belcher.

I hate the mental gymnastics involved. But you know, those are the rules...

theflushedzebra · 13/12/2019 01:19

"You guys really helped me a few years ago. My handle is my real name - I’m sure someone there will remember me and the work we did together in Torquay. My rapist now identifies as a woman and would fucking love this job. He’s still in Devon so it would be a perfect fit."

Bloody hell.

Is this the

ARoombaOfOnesOwn · 13/12/2019 01:29

Prevegen4U Diane Abbott. Doesn’t she have a majority of 30k+ or something? Seems unlikely she will be unseated.

Ibloodylovewomen · 13/12/2019 01:30

It's all good Singing. In times like these it's really important that we protect the feelings of the vulnerable people like Helen who are kindly pushing for the 'most special kind of women' with a fetishish for women's underwear, to access hospital wards where sick and frail females are. It's not a total head-fuck at all Hmm

SingingLily · 13/12/2019 01:36

I just can't do it anymore.

I'm fighting back.

Melroses · 13/12/2019 01:38

Is Helen Belcher the man who I saw giving a speech at an NHS event (on YouTube) or is that a different person? There was a Tara Hewitt who worked for the NHS in Manchester and set up TELI with Jess Bradley and some others.

GCAcademic · 13/12/2019 01:41

I’m thinking of joining you in the Conservative party SingingLily. I think my MP could do with a reminder of how terrible an idea self-ID is, and that message will be louder and clearer if I can get local members clued up about female penises in their granddaughters’ changing rooms.

SingingLily · 13/12/2019 01:44

I really think we should set up a network, GCAcademic. A kind of resistance movement within the Conservative Party. I really think we'd be pushing an open door.

BlackForestCake · 13/12/2019 01:44

Can someone summarise the bad points about Jo Swinson- I am not aware

Does she have any good points?

FagashJackie · 13/12/2019 01:50

The thing is, growing up in the eighties I thought women could rule the world. Our Queen was a woman and MT was prime minister. I would have loved in all my years to see a woman libdem pm. But when she doesn't give a shit about women, she's lost me. ' I know I'm a woman, and you can have black women, white women all the different women and transwomen' like we are all subsets of women just because trans.

Beerincomechampagnetastes · 13/12/2019 01:54

Jo, just cares about Jo.
I hope she goes. I won’t look back - a traitor of woman.

Melroses · 13/12/2019 01:55

None of them are subsets or 'types' of women- women are women. Black women are black and they are women, disabled women are disabled and are women. transwomen are trans and...…………. I don't know what she was thinking, if at all - just a memorised crib sheet.

midcenturylegs · 13/12/2019 01:58

@SingingLily I'm with you.

FagashJackie · 13/12/2019 02:04

Well I completely agree , all women are women and we don't need adjectives or descriptors to help us out with that, as soon as JS was asked she talked about women with a something else to blend in trans.

I hope I was clear. Very disappointed in her. She could have done a lot.

theflushedzebra · 13/12/2019 02:08

@SingingLily - my DH has jut told me - a lifelong labour voter - that I should join the Conservative Party. WHY? I hear you all cry. Well, his argument is, we live in a Conservative safe seat - and hence they have the power. If I want to influence policy, says he, I need to be able to influence the party who has the power. I quote - "if you want to influence people and you live in a mining community in a Labour stronghold, you join the Labour Party. If you want influence, where we are, you join the Conservatives."

My DH has just told me to join the Conservatives. It's a shock, I tell you, but I can see his point.

DeeZastris · 13/12/2019 02:08

I was extremely shocked by her homophobia. Listening to her talk you would think there were hoards of violent lesbians all over the joint.

theflushedzebra · 13/12/2019 02:10

Btw, it was Tara Hewitt who did the NHS talk.

About 5 mins in.

paniquer · 13/12/2019 02:10

East Dunbartonshire expected to declare in 30 minutes.

theflushedzebra · 13/12/2019 02:18

Oh god, I want to stay up, but come school run time tomorrow I'll regret it!

SingingLily · 13/12/2019 02:19

He's right, theflushedzebra! Don't dismiss it as a way forward. I think the Conservatives have intentionally kicked it into the long grass. We just need to make sure they dig a hole and bury it for good.

Midcenturylegs, if there's enough of us all saying the same thing...

theflushedzebra · 13/12/2019 02:21

I'm watching the constituencies of Totnes, East Dumbartonshire and Chippenham in particular. Although I suspect the Libdem losses are more to do with Brexit.

Sad to say (I'm a staunch Remainer) - that the country seems to have voted Brexit again.
