Julie Miller @julie_trans has educated us. Which is nice.

'exist mostly in cyberspace'

I can’t remember which other thread I said this on but there are apparently a very small number of us and we sockpuppet a lot.

We must get around a lot too & be very good at cloning ourselves, seeing how many events there are that the TRAs have to come & protest at.

TowelNumber42 · 28/11/2019 20:58

I only exist in cyberspace. I aspire to being a hyper intelligent shade of blue.

EmpressLesbianInChair · 28/11/2019 20:59

I aspire to being a hyper intelligent shade of blue.

Temporarily refracted into a free-standing prism for special occasions?

TowelNumber42 · 28/11/2019 21:02

Indeed Empress.

DeRigueurMortis · 28/11/2019 21:07

Has Juile been studying at the Rachel McKinnon school of reality devoid rhetoric?

GirlDownUnder · 28/11/2019 21:08

What a muppet 🤦🏻‍♀️

YellowBup · 28/11/2019 21:13

It’s just fantasist talk. And then the rage comes when the fantasy doesn’t apply in real life

It’s like listening to the local checkout assistant saying how actually they’re really neurosurgeon material as they did a part time qualification in something science related ten years ago.

Or that weird looking person who has stacks of anecdotes about how all these attractive eligible types are “coming onto them”

but funnily enough when you see the people they actually end up with they tend to be a bit dumpy and weird looking.

Mummyoflittledragon · 28/11/2019 21:21

Gosh come on mumsnetters, is your history that poor??

I remember all of those trans women playing in the women’s football teams obligingly ending their careers in 1921 when the fa banned women from playing football. For anyone, who cannot remember, this was because the women’s game was more popular than the men’s and men were jealous basically.

Because this really would have happened this way. And no, they surely would not have detransitioned. Oh no, not these trans women. Hmm

ScrimshawTheSecond · 28/11/2019 21:25

The word 'woman' doesn't magically turn anyone female, I'm afraid. It's not so much that the word belongs to females, more that females belong to it.

theflushedzebra · 28/11/2019 21:27

Ha ha. The word "woman" certainly doesn't belong to biological males, much as they would like it to.

Spot on, TowelNumber42

ScrimshawTheSecond · 28/11/2019 21:28

However, I admit that I am cryogenically frozen and my communication is via telepathy-machine.

T0tallyFuckedUpFamily · 28/11/2019 21:32

The word 'woman' doesn't magically turn anyone female

I’ve just had visions of a certain someone standing in front of a mirror and saying “woman! Woman! Woman!” in the manner of the superstitious chant “Bloody Mary! Bloody Mary! Bloody Mary!”.

Andypromqueen · 28/11/2019 21:33

well if the word “woman” doesn’t belong to women, Julie, it sure as hell doesn’t belong to you! Julie is so arrogant they think they get to decide who owns the word woman?

Michelleoftheresistance · 28/11/2019 21:34

The word cup doesn't belong to you either.

Society decrees its meaning when I've told them what to decree, and society = my mum, my Twitter followers and Judith Chalmers and the dinosaurs were using it to mean small wet hedgehog long before you tiny group of witches were trying to pretend you were drinking out of one.

So ner.

TiredofthisBS · 28/11/2019 21:35

@ScrimshawTheSecond Bibbity Bobbity Woo-man?

zanahoria · 28/11/2019 21:36

if you ask most people today whether transwomen are women, the most common answer will not be 'yes' , it will not be 'no', it will be 'what? '

theflushedzebra · 28/11/2019 21:37

Wonder Woman spin, T0tallyFuckedUpFamily? Grin

Except, ahem, Wonder Woman is clearly female in both personas....

Michelleoftheresistance · 28/11/2019 21:39

The whole concept of 'shared meaning' kind of escapes these people doesn't it?

There's no reciprocation in their world. No actual people, with independent minds who have their own thoughts and ideas and take an active part in communication: just units to be directed. They Tell You and You Do. Or rage if you don't. (Which is supposed I think to be some kind of punishment.)

theflushedzebra · 28/11/2019 21:41

We must all share now, Michelle or be big fat meanies.

No, I won't. Woman has a meaning, and it isn't "male." End of.

GetbusywiththeFizzee · 28/11/2019 21:41

juliemiller.me.uk/about-me/

Seriously, who cares what this person thinks?

theflushedzebra · 28/11/2019 21:42

Btw Michelle I wish I'd thought of your NN first Grin Love it.

Akire · 28/11/2019 21:43

Seriously they believe all this stuff. Do they ever talk to people in the real world doing normal stuff.
