Does MN have a problem with trans people? **MNHQ edited title as OP has apologised for 'accusatory' tone**

tryandempathise · 27/11/2019 07:54

Seem to be threads constantly on the issue of trans.

Why?

Is it because it conflicts with the idea of sex as a construct?

Is it an age thing?

There must be mums on here with trans kids - do you just stay out of it?

Why the obsession with the idea of being attacked by trans women? Is it not the modern equivalent of homophobic blokes all thinking gay men want to rape them?

That tickled my fancy so to speak.

🤣

2BthatUnnoticed · 28/11/2019 09:08

@MNHQ I know that post will be reported but please, please don’t delete! says all anyone needs to know

(There is no unequivocal breach of guidelines that I saw, not even T or C words)

Gertrudesgarden · 28/11/2019 09:09

Oh please don't delete it! Or this thread...

LangCleg · 28/11/2019 09:19

Wasn’t it a spoof poster? No one is genuinely that daft and ranty, surely.

That's what they do when they've lost so badly that it would be better if the entire thread was taken down. Not spoof. Deliberate. The aim is to make invisible the entire pasting they were given.

LangCleg · 28/11/2019 09:21

All hail premature proclamation!

Grin Grin

BernardBlacksWineIceLolly · 28/11/2019 09:31

Now was that from the alpacas it the premature proclamation?

Long live the penis

It’s good to see a little honesty sometimes isn’t it?

And Brew MNHQ, thanks for leaving the post (and the thread) up. I feel 100% sure that both will have been reported to high heaven

Winesalot · 28/11/2019 09:33

Delurking to say that was a spectacular post Eyez.

I did get a tad confused on why you believed that the world should not extrapolate the male sex and violent crime stats to include transwomen considering now self identification is all that is needed. Particularly, When taking the bbc stats on the crimes of the current transwomen in jail and their prevalence for violence. Ie. Not a study to be interpreted but fact that the prevalence is indeed much higher than the women they want to share prison with.

And the fact that future stats will see the spike in female ‘rape’ and violent crimes due to self id. It will certainly take a lot of unraveling to get any clear picture in the future..... it just did not make sense.

But now I understand. You certainly showed all women, didn’t you?

And I loved the alpaca analogy!!

CaptainKirksSpikeyGhost · 28/11/2019 09:38

The problem is not one person was taken in with the role of the hairdresser, it's important to get the character convincing enough to be real.

CaptainKirksSpikeyGhost · 28/11/2019 09:41

To make myself understandable to women I need loads of hairdresser type analogies.
That'll do it...

LangCleg · 28/11/2019 09:43

I liked the "hahahaha you're not getting any" bit best.

LangCleg · 28/11/2019 09:43

But I am disappointed that Cousin is not joining the partay.

Mummyoflittledragon · 28/11/2019 09:44

@Eyezswideshut
Where have you shown an ounce of sympathy for the fear of any woman, who was raped? Or who is disabled? Or is it only women, who are expected to show support for others?

The irony is that you expect something from others (Ie women), which after your last post you are clearly unwilling to do yourself.

Justhadathought · 28/11/2019 09:47

I hope that post is kept for posterity. Can someone screenshot it. I'm not sure how to do that, myself.

Ereshkigal · 28/11/2019 09:47

Pretty sure multiple people have screenshot and saved.

Justhadathought · 28/11/2019 09:48

Let’s hope that the post isn’t deleted. But if it is I’ve screen shotted and archived

Good!

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 28/11/2019 09:48

Pinned post, I'm not kidding.

I mean, I know MNHQ won't do it, but a witch can dream.

Datun · 28/11/2019 09:52

Me too. Lack of offers of sex isn't generally something women complain about.

Men on the other hand...

And by other hand I mean in contrast, not actually, you know, um, the other hand.

Justhadathought · 28/11/2019 09:54

Also, why pick hairdresser? And mention it a thousand times? What have they got against hairdressers

Maybe because mentioning they'd been at the 'hairdresser' would somehow beef up their female credentials? It's a bit like women supposedly asking other women for tampons in public toilets. Because that is what women do.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 28/11/2019 09:57

The less I know about where Eyez's hands have been the better, thank you.

(She said with uncharacteristic primness.)

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 28/11/2019 09:58

It's a bit like women supposedly asking other women for tampons in public toilets. Because that is what women do.

Yoghurt and shopping, girlfriend! And, um, not enough offers of sex? That's what being a woman is like, right?

LangCleg · 28/11/2019 10:09

Lack of offers of sex isn't generally something women complain about.

Indeed. I am entirely unsure about cheerleading for increased longevity for the penis. We have a market glut as it is.

EyezButchCousin · 28/11/2019 10:17

You're all horrible meanies who aren't getting any and deserve to be leered at by rampant alpacas everywhere you go and...blimey, this is hard to keep up.

No, not you, Mighty Penis.

HumberHellraiser · 28/11/2019 10:18

Blimey! Just catching up again and that post from Eyez was a spectacular explosion!

Like lancing a seething, angry, bile-filled boil, with the clean, sterile point of calm reasonableness.

Like the FWR version of Sporners Corner.

Justhadathought · 28/11/2019 10:20

The less I know about where Eyez's hands have been the better, thank you

That's what I was thinking when the macho boyfriend was mentioned; who would think nothing of walking around with his dick in his hand....

Honestly, when these posters naively pop up on here, I'm always picturing someone very young ( usually male, but maybe the odd female ally) who spends an inordinate amount of time on social media. As a result they are poorly read, and ill informed of the actual substance of the issues being discussed, and are unable, therefore, to string together any sustained argument or worthwhile discussion.

They come to Mumsnet like they would to twitter, seriously under-estimating what they will find. It all goes tits up, and they end up resorting to desperate measures, revealing the bare bones of their own hatred, bigotry and prejudice. The continual references to 'white' and 'middle class feminism' exposes their own deep lack of understanding of what racism entails too. It is just one of those 'get out of jail' cards that they think they can pull - because it works for them elsewhere.

Mummyoflittledragon · 28/11/2019 10:22

@EyezButchCousin
Lol who are you really??
