Why?

Is it because it conflicts with the idea of sex as a construct?

Is it an age thing?

There must be mums on here with trans kids - do you just stay out of it?

My cousin saw two alpaca bleating vicously at a big scary dog in their pen but the big dog was actually an unusual looking alpaca. Fortunately the farm acted quickly to allow big scary dogs to roam free in the alpaca pens. It is the obvious solution. The alpaca don't bother bleating any more as nobody comes to help, which means it is all fine. The alpaca hide in a pack in the corner. A few have been eaten but the dogs have explained the alpaca were asking for it by aggressively hiding in the corner so it doesn't count and anyway the killer dog is not representative of big scary dogs in general. Most dogs are lovely. Children are allowed to play with puppies you know. Alpaca are anti-dog bigots. They started it with their bleating when they incorrectly thought they saw a big scary dog.

Why is all the emphasis on alpaca's? What about the llamas?

Some of these posts are epic and so full of wisdom. I am totally with Flora in my former dislike of how I viewed and felt about women. It wasn’t my “fault” for I was brought up to believe what men say carries more weight than a room full of women and to defer to men in all things.

Like me, more and more women are coming out of the fog and no longer believe in the magic of the mighty penis. And the mighty penis is fighting back. Sadly I am yet to see many penis holders fighting in solidarity with women.... not really surprising when they’ve been subjected to the same societal messages as me. They don’t even know to question the status quo - how would it possibly occur to them?

I do agree the massive upsurge of girls and young women identifying as trans is deeply troubling. But I don’t agree that no one cares about these trans boys / men. Nor do I think the trans issue in sports and women’s spaces is going to sort itself out any time soon. At the moment it’s going in the opposite direction.

Actually Mumsnet, I think it is kind of disgusting that you allow your members to mock and belittle someone who shares a painful story. By all means attack the argument, but allowing your members to treat me this way and have over 10 pages dedicated to mocking me is simply cyber bullying.

My cousin actually wrote a public post on social media in her own name about the incident and that is what we were going to share here but honestly, you're such a bunch of fucked up bitter old hags and bigots, I dont trust that you could have access to her and not start your online campaign against her. She's already published it on Facebook so I'm sure if you look hard enough, you'll find it. But there are lots of other butch lesbians who have had similar experiences (just look online).
