I thought the remarks were tasteless and unsympathetic but yet again there was an orchestrated plan to get him sacked so this seems like the right decision.

I feel particularly affected by this story because I have a 10yo child who has been identifying as a penguin consistently, insistently and persistently for 3-4 years now.
However I am too tired to be bothered to work out who is a bigot and needs to DIAF. Possibly the people who complained about Piers thus implying penguin identities should not be taken seriously? It is hard to get people to recognise your penguinity, especially when you don't like fish.

I’ve lost a great deal of the sympathy I once had. I’m aware there are a tiny group with genuine dysphoria, but if they remain even partially rational in other ways, they will recognise this pushback is not against them, but against the ludicrous demands TRAs are making.

Interestingly he said I support Trans rights (which he has done on GMB)
He also said - to the extent it's trampling over women's rights.
Suzanna Reid also said this morning - but you can't actually change sex.
