Fae seems to be a little discombobulated about the new LGB alliance...

Bit of an angry outburst on Twitter. Hopefully the link will work.

Of course I might not be giving Fae credit for deliberately quote-tweeting the Fake LGB Alliance . . . but that would make Fae deceitful rather than daft.

GirlDownUnder · 27/10/2019 14:54

MoleSmokes yep I thought it totally delicious, so I def only archived it for the most positive reasons.

My halo is polished.

Yes Datun I believe our naughty knitters knickers went off wet... opps.

Datun · 27/10/2019 14:59

Yes Datun - Fae quote-tweeted the Fake LGB Alliance and based that rant on the parody "policies"

Oh dear. What a complete waste of time.

GirlDownUnder · 27/10/2019 15:04

Oh dear. What a complete waste of time.

Oh, I don’t know. The burn has to hurt. And even if it doesn’t , Fae going ‘dark’ is a good thing. A little gift maybe?

AnyOldPrion · 27/10/2019 16:13

Oh dear. What a complete waste of time.

Fae’s time you mean! Damn, I wish I’d checked the link now.

That is, perhaps, the funniest thing I’ve read in a while: Fae raving about how awful the policies are whilst looking at a fake account. I’m going to assume it was taken at face value, which means Fae can’t spot the difference between intelligent GC people (including, for example, a prominent lawyer) and some mad fucker transactivists taking the piss.

Very telling about what Fae thinks about others, and how much value is placed on them. Best guess, Fae didn’t even bother to read a word.

Pota2 · 27/10/2019 16:19

Nah I think Fae knew it was the fake one. In fact it would not surprise me if Fae was behind the fake one themselves. The supposedly clever ‘policies’ sounded awfully like Fae’s handiwork.

AnyOldPrion · 27/10/2019 16:30

Not buying it. That rant was not the work of someone carefully in control of the situation and trying to mess with us. And the account linked is a very poor parody. I’d like to think Fae could do better, when fully in control of Faesself.

Pota2 · 27/10/2019 16:39

But the fake account was so obviously fake? I think it’s been deleted now but I can’t see anyone reading it and thinking those were the actual policies of the LGBA. Fae is gaslighting and manipulative but not exactly thick. And not sure what the ‘in control of the situation’ means. The fake account made fun of the LGBA by inventing some stupid fake policies and Fae decided to add to them.

Fae knows full well that the LGBA and GC feminists are not peddling hate but wants to twist reality so that others think that they do.

Datun · 27/10/2019 16:51

Fae is gaslighting and manipulative but not exactly thick.

I'm not so sure. They went on national television and said they were frightened of Jenni Murray.

How anyone could not have foreseen anything but helpless laughter at that, is beyond me.

Pota2 · 27/10/2019 17:02

True but the madness is still raging and people are claiming to be in fear of people even less threatening than Jenni Murray. For instance, one GC academic was disciplined on the basis of a complaint by a student she had never met or taught who claimed to feel unsafe being on the same university campus as her. The university indulged the complaint. Fae knows what they’re doing. Claiming fear positions you as the person who is definitely in the right and means that your statements are less likely to be challenged.

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 27/10/2019 17:08

People will believe any amount of stupidity when it comes to evil terfs. I have spoken to supposedly normal intelligent individuals who are convinced that Maria Mac brutally attacked that young male bodied TRA at Speakers Corner.

AnyOldPrion · 27/10/2019 17:08

”And not sure what the ‘in control of the situation’ means.”

Your previous post suggested that Fae knew exactly what Fae was doing when posting that account, and suggested further that Fae had probably set up the account Faesself.

This would be a massive double level gaslight, presumably intended to draw people like me in.

So your implication is that the person who wrote that rant is not losing the plot, but is astonishingly devious. So much so, as to be able to imitate both a parody account so poor that it looks like an idiot produced it, and a rant so sick and pathetic that some people couldn’t bring themselves to read it all. And that I’m a mug that fell into the trap.

Well thanks for that assessment. That would also mean almost everyone else on this thread was also taken in by the masterful gaslight.

Pretty sure that’s bollocks.

Fae knows what they’re doing. Claiming fear positions you as the person who is definitely in the right and means that your statements are less likely to be challenged.

I completely agree that it's a well worn tactic. But generally for people who are less articulate than Fae. I don't know how Fae thought they could ever get away with it, on the TV, saying it to Julie Bindel tho.

Datun · 27/10/2019 17:21

Fae also got into a muddle when he was with that guy on TV who identified as a different age. Largely because the guy was agreeing that Fae could absolutely identify as the opposite sex, which meant he could, in turn, identify as a different age.

Fae couldn't shoot him down without getting caught in the crossfire.

You'd think people would be prepared, wouldn't you?

Sloppy.

Pota2 · 27/10/2019 17:26

I didn’t mean you were a mug! Sorry if you thought that. But it doesn’t really matter whether Fae for some reason genuinely thought the real LGBA would write something like ‘ooh, we don’t know what our policies are but we’ll come up with them’ followed by a thread about how they are trying to exclude trans people. The important thing is the horrible homophobic rant that followed. And with people like Fae (or indeed Boris Johnson) who portray a slightly bumbling harmless persona, often it’s a cover for much more calculated and manipulative behaviour.

Also, if someone DID think that the LGBA would write that stuff that the fake account did, then you could understand an angry reaction (although not to the extend that Fae reacted). My point was that Fae knew full well that the LGBA are not transphobes and have not written anything transphobic on their account but STILL thought it was in order to write those vile comments.

Pota2 · 27/10/2019 17:31

Yeah the age debate was funny. But there is literally nothing you can say to argue against it.
‘I have always felt that I was a woman’
‘Well, I have always felt like I was 20 years younger than my age’

‘Age is a matter of historical record’
‘So is the sex you are born’

‘Age is neutral, gender is not’
‘Not true. Lots of stereotypes attached to age- as much as gender I would say’

‘I have had surgery’
‘I can have surgery to look younger but it doesn’t change my age just as your surgery doesn’t change your sex’

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 27/10/2019 18:02

Of course I might not be giving Fae credit for deliberately quote-tweeting the Fake LGB Alliance . . . but that would make Fae deceitful rather than daft.

I mean, "both" is also an option...

Butterisbest · 27/10/2019 18:11

Both is definitely the best and most suitable option

ShesDressedInBlackAgain · 27/10/2019 19:00

Is 'c) deceitful, daft and drunk' an option?

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 27/10/2019 19:05

Most definitely! Excellent lesson in why drunk tweeting is rarely a good idea.
