Has anyone heard from her?

The last I saw she had lost her login and had made a new account.

I miss her. I hope the confusion hasn't seen her suspended.

OP posts:
HandsOffMyRights · 26/10/2019 19:06

*I'm reasonably sure they're emailing us about strikes HandsOffMyRights. That's not the problem.

They haven't emailed me about recent deletions (one on the post after Fekko on the Always thread) so I could be out soon.

FleetsumNJetsum · 26/10/2019 19:27

I also was not emailed about a deletion

BadgertheBodger · 26/10/2019 20:20

What’s the best way to contact the mods please?

HandsOffMyRights · 26/10/2019 20:23

I'd like to know so I can clarify how many strikes I have and I.

Repeat, on the thread with Fekko, deletions were made for use of a traditional Scottish word for man (rhymes with Baddie).

Should the Lassies of Lallybroch thread be worried?

HandsOffMyRights · 26/10/2019 20:23

typo didn't mean to type me, myself and I...

WrathofSIxFootSIxElfKlop · 26/10/2019 20:44

But where is the transphobia here?

I haven't seen it on this board.
Pisstakes and reality checks yes, but no nastiness.

But I have seen some nasty comments aimed at women that insult them as a group.

Why don't they go away.

WrathofSIxFootSIxElfKlop · 26/10/2019 20:50

Apologies to MN for the narly posts.

Thanks to MN we do have our voices heard.
What would we have done without you. Wine

Matereality · 26/10/2019 21:32

Badger I PM'd you the email address. But realised afterwards that you can just report your own post to contact them.

The email exchange I had with the mods confirmed that they are doing their best under trying circumstances Flowers Flowers

What was the context? Was it calling someone a laddie who identifies as a lassie? I could see that being viewed as problematic but surely there's nothing wrong with the word itself?Confused

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 26/10/2019 21:47

What if someone decides to call their Collie Laddie?

RufusthebewiIderedreindeer · 26/10/2019 21:59

As long as its not actually a lassie kittens then we’re all good

ErrolTheDragon · 26/10/2019 22:09

Lassie wasn't actually a lassie, you know.

RufusthebewiIderedreindeer · 26/10/2019 22:10

No

Lassie was a laddie

Were all the lassies laddies

littlbrowndog · 26/10/2019 22:12

That’s it Errol you are mean as

Lassie can be what lassie wants.

Humph poor lassie

ErrolTheDragon · 26/10/2019 22:20

Apparently Lassie was always played by laddies because female collies shed their coat more often than males, which would be a problem for filming schedules.

'Female collies will shed their coat once or twice a year, approximately 4 months after each season. Males will usually shed once a year, generally around their birthday or in the summer.'

Well, you learn something new every day. Even the acting careers of collies is determined by their biology.

RufusthebewiIderedreindeer · 26/10/2019 22:41

Why dont they play cards in the jungle

HandsOffMyRights · 26/10/2019 22:52

No...one was based around menstruation.

And another related to bladder weakess in women.

youllhavehadyourtea · 26/10/2019 22:53

Who, our LassofFyvie? Not oor lass! ( sadly missed -Lassie come home!)

HandsOffMyRights · 26/10/2019 23:02

The few who copied and bolded the words and added a smiley face were also deleted, so tread carefully.....

ErrolTheDragon · 26/10/2019 23:09

I shall have to remain baffled as I don't want anyone risking a strike to enlighten me how the heck the word 'laddie' could be used in a way which broke the rules, other than my initial guess. At least I know about the Lassie thing now.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 26/10/2019 23:19

I knew a Lassie as a child (she was actually a lassie and not a laddie, and was fond of dragging people out for long walks in the rain, thus proving that she had no connection to any of the lassies or laddies on whose behalf the offending comment was presumably deleted, as proven by her fondness for exercise and ability to get along well with people).

HandsOffMyRights · 26/10/2019 23:20

Sorry to be clear as mud - it's not worth the risk. Too many great posters have already gone from here.

Hope Fekko comes back.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 26/10/2019 23:23

I used to know a man who called everyone Sonny Jim when he was angry with them (picture him shaking a finger in front of someone's face while saying this). What would you in theory do about terms or phrases like that, which sound as if they're indicating sex but really aren't (he got angry with men more often but didn't seem to make any distinction when deploying his go to I'm about to give you a piece of my mind warning words).

RufusthebewiIderedreindeer · 26/10/2019 23:24

Well don’t use mate on here

All fucking hell breaks loose

ErrolTheDragon · 26/10/2019 23:30

Well don’t use mate on here

Really?Shock
How about 'pal'? (Not Pal, to be clear, that being the dog who first played Lassie)
