Am shocked, I knew she was ill but never expected this so soon.

Her tweets about her ex being an arse when she was at her lowest were heartbreaking and her joy at seeing reviews of her book was infectious.

RIP

Oh so so sorry about that. And so sorry she won't see her book published.

Pota2 · 20/10/2019 21:41

RIP Deborah. Sad that her vile ex made her last months so stressful but I hope she is at peace now. Very strong woman.

BIWI · 20/10/2019 21:43

Oh that's sad Sad

I read her columns during her initial treatment for breast cancer, and thought she was in remission.

Very sad about this.

Rainatnight · 20/10/2019 21:47

How awful and so sad. I follow her on Twitter and I thought recently, from my experience of my dad dying of cancer last year, that she much be near the end from how she was describing it.

She was such a bracing, refreshing voice. RIP.

exLtEveDallas · 20/10/2019 21:47

Oh no. Oh that is awful. Such a bloody lovely woman.

Cuddlysnowleopard · 20/10/2019 21:48

Oh no! I've been following on Twitter but that is so unexpectedly quick. Sad

GetbusywiththeFizzee · 20/10/2019 21:50

RIP Deborah 💐

MsTSwift · 20/10/2019 21:50

So sad to read this. My friend had the same and died in 2016.

iguanadonna · 20/10/2019 21:53

Oh that's terrible news. I've been reading her columns for so many years and admired her so much.

LangCleg · 20/10/2019 22:01

Awful news. Best wishes to her family and friends. RIP.

MurderOfGoths · 20/10/2019 22:01

That's heartbreaking

Haworthia · 20/10/2019 22:04

What a tragedy.

She’d been forced to sell the family home but didn’t even live long enough to set foot in the new house she’d just bought. And the failure to spot the reoccurrence of her cancer is just terrible. She said on Twitter she’d been having symptoms and bone pain for a year prior to diagnosis - which was only in August.

Girlwhowearsglasses · 20/10/2019 22:05

Oh man. I was wondering about her today on Twitter as she hadn’t tweeted for a while, sosas and what a nightmare last few months

SirVixofVixHall · 20/10/2019 22:06

Oh no. I am so sad to read that. She really deserved decades more time.

SirVixofVixHall · 20/10/2019 22:07

Agree that the failure to spot that her cancer had returned is horrendous.

Clonakilty · 20/10/2019 22:08

So sad. He made it worse. Curse him.

AnotherLass · 20/10/2019 22:11

Far too young. She was a really great voice. Tragic.

Cuntysnark · 20/10/2019 22:12

Much love to those in her circle

megletthesecond · 20/10/2019 22:12

Flowers this is so sad. Her poor boys.

I don't think she made it to her seaside home did she.

SunsetBeetch · 20/10/2019 22:13

So sad. She was a brilliant woman.

BeMoreMagdalen · 20/10/2019 22:15

Much sadness. Too. Much. Sadness.

truthisarevolutionaryact · 20/10/2019 22:18

She was an outstanding journalist. So very sorry to hear this.

Floisme · 20/10/2019 22:19

So sorry to hear this. I only checked on Twitter yesterday to see how she was.
