"All my medical records say female,"
I wonder when she had her last smear test?

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 18/10/2019 10:07

I worry for prostate owners I really do.

andyoldlabour · 18/10/2019 10:11

I worry for medical science and the current batch of practitioners, if they cannot distinguish between male and female.

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 18/10/2019 10:12

I wonder why Sky didn't tag RM in that tweet.

Also see RM has been up and at 'em with this:
"...nearly all of the people opposing trans women in sport are NOT athletes and are NOT supporters of women's sport.

"If your only 'support for women' is opposing and harassing trans women...you're just a transphobe."

Grin yeah ok Rach. not supporting a male sexed person in a female race apparently equals "not supporters of women's sport". And what's this? Martina, Sharron, Kelly et al - "not athletes"?!

Someone needs to take Rachel's shovel away.

If McKinnon's medical records say female, that puts their health at risk. Idiotic.

ArnoldWhatshisknickers · 18/10/2019 10:16

Blah, blah, transphobe, blah.

Whatever, McKinnon, your word is meaningless, the whole damn universe is 'transphobic' now.

The public by contrast see you for what you are, an XY person who should compete against men and only against men. People are not on board with trans privilege ideology no matter how many times you say that meaningless word.

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 18/10/2019 10:16

What does "medically female" even mean?

Can I call myself "medically elven"?

Maybe we just need to have gender/sex

Female:woman - voila both bases covered. Outside and in as it were.

ScapaFlo · 18/10/2019 10:24

Victoria Pendleton's thighs were massive - I remember seeing her on Strictly and the difference to every other woman was huge. She was a champion, deservedly so. Chris Hoy's thighs are massive too and much bigger than Victoria's - that's what you get for being an elite athlete. The difference between Victoria and Chris is because of sex - duh!

It looks as though the Sprint qualifying is taking place soon after 6pm today.

TheShoesa · 18/10/2019 10:40

Someone has just posted this on the Sky twitter thread. How gutting for the females in the 35-39 category.

Congratulations Dawn Orwick for being the top qualifier.

JellySlice · 18/10/2019 10:44

Victoria Hood: "I have sympathy with them. They have a right to do sport but not a right to go into any category they want."

Exactly.

Datun · 18/10/2019 11:01

Is McK nuts? Pendleton had massive thighs!

Such a jarring comment to make. Who, in the world of athletics, even thinks of the words teeny tiny, without intending to insult?

And as for those women who aren't athletes, nor being allowed having an opinion on athletics.

Doesn't that undermine transgenderism entirely?

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 18/10/2019 11:06

Dawn Orwick is ON FIRE!

Congratulations on your top qualifying spot Dawn!

At this point, all of the other women should withdraw from the event, thus ensuring that there are no other competitors taking part in this farce.

ArnoldWhatshisknickers · 18/10/2019 12:20

And as for those women who aren't athletes, nor being allowed having an opinion on athletics.

Now that's ironic from someone who is neither a woman nor an athlete in any meaningful sense.

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 18/10/2019 12:28

I wonder why Naomi Lovesay DNS. That could be an interesting conversation.

Seems like the live stream won't carry this race though, only the men's events tonight, so we won't get to see it.

This crossed my mind earlier. I would love to see them do this and would fully support it. I wonder how it would affect their careers though, not because they are standing up for the cause, but the refusing to race when there are sponsorship deals etc.

DanaPhoenix · 18/10/2019 12:34

Every internet story about this race has the best ratio ever.

#imlovingit

SnowyZ · 18/10/2019 12:35

Wonder what RM thinks about them only showing men's races!! Less publicity for RM.

Not streaming them goes to show how far women's sport has still got to go for equality, why not show the women's races?

aliasundercover · 18/10/2019 12:40

I think we'd all like to see this. They could withdraw, go to the nearest park with a cycle track and have their own event.
McKinnon could cycle round the track by themselves and get their gold medal - it's clear that's all they want and they don't care how they get it, so they'd be happy enough.

Everyone would know who the best woman cyclist was.

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 18/10/2019 12:53

It has been pointed out that RM is claiming a "World Record" Hmm

Um, no. You have a World's Masters Best Time in one of several Female Age Categories.

Verrrrry different thing on so many levels. The arrogance of it...!

(Had RM competed in the correct sex category, they would have bean resoundingly thrashed - 9.965 is the male record for the same age group. RM has to wait another 30 years before he can beat his peers)
