The sprinters are usually pretty bulky. Especially the men. Hoy was not skinny as they’re built for power and only expected to last a few seconds. Even the roads ones are big compared to the GC riders but they do have to complete the whole course so not as big as track sprinters

GlitterToast · 16/10/2019 12:35

Let’s hope this gets done press attention. That photo is brilliant!

LikeothersIamjustme · 16/10/2019 12:36

They tend to be muscular rather than Lardy though :-)

AlwaysTawnyOwl · 16/10/2019 12:39

Well done WOMEN Flowers

FilthyBiscuit · 16/10/2019 12:40

I see on FB they are rapidly deleting messages that may be "offensive".

andyoldlabour · 16/10/2019 12:57

"I'm guessing the men do a different distance so we can't compare results..."

In the older categories they do the same event. In the 60-64 cat McK would have finished 8th.

When you see the photos of RM
next to the female cyclists, it's actually laughable that there are people that think this is fair.

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 16/10/2019 13:00

Just because it bears repeating.

Congratulations to Dawn, Naomi and Kirsten Star

What happened at the world swimming champs Buzz?

sashh · 16/10/2019 13:06

We should collect the prize money and get a medal for Kirsten.

If I win the lottery I'm going to haver medals made for any sport where trans women are competing with women and issue them to the real winners.

I will have a fancy event with food and wine and award the medals.

MangoesAreMyFavourite · 16/10/2019 13:16

Looks like the fb page has gone - or I have my first RL block on Facebook!!

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 16/10/2019 13:24

I cant see it either ...

They cant block eyes though.

FannyCann · 16/10/2019 13:32

Has Big Mac been comfort eating Aero bars? I did that the other day driving home from work. Then I wasn't hungry for supper.
I'm not surprised it affects athletic performance. Grin

To clarify for the our TRA 'monitors':

The fact that McKinnon got silver doesn't prove McKinnon didn't have an unfair advantage. McKinnon would have come nowhere in the men's race.

I know this is a frustrating situation right now, but I'm seeing signs that people are waking up to it. McKinnon's result in this race needs to be published far and wide. Then TRAs would find out what most people think of their ideology.

aliasundercover · 16/10/2019 13:35

From that twitter thread:

In the 60-64 male category McKinnon would have finished 8th.

Doesn’t that just tell you all you need to know about their cycling ability?

ArnoldWhatshisknickers · 16/10/2019 13:39

In the 60-64 cat McK would have finished 8th

Yes, McKinnon is a very mediocre XY 'athlete'. Probably why McKinnon prefers not to compete fairly.

Fraggling · 16/10/2019 14:21

Oh

They are making excuses as to why didn't win
Why would they be so utterly convinced that they should have won

SarahTancredi · 16/10/2019 14:24

Feels horrible to think you have been robbed of something doesnt it...

Gee if only there was someone else who could share that feeling with them so they werent so alone...

Fraggling · 16/10/2019 14:25

Robbed of right by birth

It's just so unfair

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 16/10/2019 14:26

35-39 age womans rage? ummmmm.

I'm not going to say it but... tough paperround huh?

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 16/10/2019 14:28

Who says that the organisers have to allow anyone who says they are eligible to race? Is that how it works?

LikeothersIamjustme · 16/10/2019 14:32

Good point LordProf - I suspect that if one of the other competitors had such a hate-filled twitter account like McKinnon they may not be welcome. Bringing the sport into disrepute perhaps?

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 16/10/2019 14:39

I'm wondering how long before the Paralympics has problems.

I know there have been teams and athletes who have basically lied to get a place but I'm not aware of anyone saying 'yes I totally should be on the visually impaired football team because I feel blind'.

frazzled1 · 16/10/2019 14:49

McK will be back to advise the IOC it seems.......
