I think it has been proven before that saying you feel disabled, a different ethnicity or a different age doesn't cut the mustard. Only 'woman' is a category open to all :-(

A general observation:

I have seen parts of my OP quoted verbatim across multiple channels by multiple different people today.

Sure some of them are undoubtedly MNers but either way, the word is out and people are spreading it!

I did mean to say congratulations to the top three women cyclists in the event - Dawn Orwick, Naomi Lovesay, Kirsten Herup Sovang.

I've been looking at the winner's across the age ranges and it's so inspirational to see older people smashing it. Congratulations to the three female winners of that race.

It's not inspirational to see McKinnon though. It's depressing.

Well I spotted someone I trained with years ago on twitter and he is incandescent about this event! I never know he was such a feminist!

Does this mean McKinnon can no longer claim the title of world champion?

I think it was the sprint McK won last year which is on Friday

Congratulations to the top 3 women, Dawn, Naomi and Kirsten, especially Dawn. I bet that pissed McKinnon off!
We can only hope that justice is done one day, and the records are corrected, even though Naomi and Kirsten were denied their rightful places on the podium. And lets not forget the woman who was denied a place in the race thanks to McKinnon.

Yes, funny how letting some men into "feminism" doesn't gatekeep against others, who believe in material reality and who are, no doubt, just as pissed off at seeing the exceptions made for women used by men. All-women shortlists might be acceptable if truly all-women, but if not... no.

Oj and a few years ago Canada had a completely able bodied wheelchair basketball team.

I am considering sending congratulations postcards to the real top three medallists.

Postcards with a succinct message of congrats- to be seen by all people who handle the cards in the post and the cycling clubs.
