Astonishing thread from Jane Fae, Darvo at its finest.

I think Jane may be unhappy about something or other. Can't think what /s

All the classics are there: right wing funding, denyong people's existence...

As a procession of journalists/not-journalists continue to shill unashamedly, unquestioningly for the gender crits, a pattern, some background that the former seem blithely ignorant of.

A thread.

twitter.com/JaneFae/status/1180766181885698050?s=19

They – the gender crits – declared they only wanted to talk, while setting up a batch of pseudo-organisations and so-called charity platforms, little more than social media groups, that blatantly excluded mainstream trans voices.

twitter.com/JaneFae/status/1180766498249465857?s=19

They – the gender crits – said it was all about the Gender Recognition Act and women's concerns....while their leading lights talked openly about removing ALL rights from trans people and driving us out of existence - and journalists/not-journalists said nothing.

twitter.com/JaneFae/status/1180766702352654337?s=19

They – the gender crits – caricatured any GRA changes as ushering in an armageddon for women, while seemingly unaware, ignorant, or lying that the changes proposed did nothing to affect rights trans people had exercised for decades, with no problem.

twitter.com/JaneFae/status/1180766856250044416?s=19

They – the gender crits – happily scooped up hundreds of thousands in funding, including significant donations from far right Christian fundamentalists with an anti-woman agenda, while claiming it was all about defending women.

And journalists/not-journalists said nothing.

twitter.com/JaneFae/status/1180767075989643264?s=19

They – the gender crits – set out on a campaign of publicity stunts designed to exclude trans people from public spaces, while journalists/not-journalists treated it all as a bit of a lark.

A thing to debate politely in two minute set piece televised confrontations.

twitter.com/JaneFae/status/1180767308576374785?s=19

They – the gender crits – paint trans women as sexual deviants, while erasing the validity of trans men and non-binary existence.

Publicly, they endorsed a campaign that incited taxi drivers and bikers to use violence against trans people. Because they only wanted to talk.

twitter.com/JaneFae/status/1180767618074058752?s=19

They – the gender crits – set about invading any and every trans space, intimidating trans folk, denying trans people the safety they demand for themselves.

But it was only about women's concerns.

twitter.com/JaneFae/status/1180767830712705024?s=19

They – the gender crits – initiated a co-ordinated campaign to make it harder/impossible for young trans and gender questioning people to get support in schools. And journalists/ not-journalists said it was just another debate.

paint trans women as sexual deviants

Said it on the other thread but it bears repeating here.

It wasn't gender critical women who did this. It was Stonewall who widened the umbrella and reclassified sexual deviants as transwomen. Take it up with them if you don't like it.

Waterl00 · 06/10/2019 18:33

And just for the laughs here is the dirty on the dark money streaming in......

Quote

Kellie herself raised over 12k using crowdfunders, including this generous 'anonymous' donation of £1,600 among others....

Proof indeed. Women don't have money of their own to spend. They only get the housekeeping in small notes on a Friday.

Women are the stepford wives ( the replacement plastic ones) being remote controlled by Dr No in his island lair.....

Whatisthisfuckery · 06/10/2019 18:34

I couldn’t be arsed to read the whole thing. I got stuck lolling about the sexual deviant bit. Not your best line of argument that, Jame.

SirVixofVixHall · 06/10/2019 18:37

Jane Fae gives me the absolute creeps, every hair on my head stands up.

Waterl00 · 06/10/2019 18:37

Here is another bafflingly unexplained quote from the thread Joss has reposted today.

If you think trans people are the only target, and you are not straight, white, cisgender, able bodied, and possibly blonde-hair blue-eyed. I suggest you'll be in for a rather nasty shock.

Wut?

Waterl00 · 06/10/2019 18:40

Ah, all was calm with Joss by the end of the thread....

I don't mean to seem dramatic or apocalyptic, but we either embrace and trust each other and our differences and learn to see through the propaganda, hate, and misinformation or we may as well crowdfund a big fuck-off nuclear bomb and start over!

SarahTancredi · 06/10/2019 18:44

Wtf was any of that about Confused

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 06/10/2019 18:46

Oh no! My hair is not blonde and my eyes are not blue. Tell me more, OfLang.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 06/10/2019 18:47

Not just you, SirVix.

boatyardblues · 06/10/2019 19:43

Jane Fae gives me the absolute creeps, every hair on my head stands up.

The knitting live on telly has no one fooled. What’s the phrase? Look at what someone does, not what they say. As a PP has noted above, Jane in her former incarnation was campaigning for extremely violent porn to be legalised. We don’t have to look far to see what kind of person Jane is and what Jane really thinks of women, especially when Jane lets the mask slip with such predictable frequency (eggshell skulls n all). 🤷‍♂️

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 06/10/2019 19:48

Fae is by far the most sinister British TRA, imo. The special rules for trans prevent me from saying any more but I'm pretty sure everyone who's seen Fae speaking sees it too, and googling Fae's "deadname" is also illuminating.

When someone makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up that's your subconscious trying to tell you something and you should listen.

RoyalCorgi · 06/10/2019 19:59

We said we wanted to talk and they said "how fucking dare you", and then they tried to prevent us from talking.

Quite. The event at which Maria MacLachlan was assaulted was originally intended to have speakers from Stonewall as well as gender critical speakers. The Stonewall speakers pulled out. And after that, every single event held by Woman's Place and other groups has been subjected to violent threats and sometimes physical intimidation.

donquixotedelamancha · 06/10/2019 20:25

Fae is by far the most sinister British TRA, imo.

Nah, number 5. Somewhat creepy manner and prurient interests, but no evidence of real threat.

Jane is knocked out of the 4 slot by Aimee Challenor's dead eyed stare and terrifying back story.

Holding at 3, with mad staring eyes and some seriously obsessive harassment of women, it's doctor misogyny himself: Adrian Harrop.

Down one place to number two it's an old favourite: Jess Bradley. Jess has already graduated to criminal self exposure and flaunting risky behaviour. With many years of escalation left there are bound to be more hits.

Which means a new number one this week. With a history of violence, criminal convictions, duets personally harassing women with Dr Harrop, creepy breathless manner and an unparalleled track record of malicious law suits against women: let's hear it for Stephanie Hayden.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 06/10/2019 20:28

Aw where’s wee lil?

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 06/10/2019 20:28

Or should that be lil’ Lil?

donquixotedelamancha · 06/10/2019 20:35

Aw where’s wee lil?

Dropped out of the top 5, no recent hits.

Not convinced she's creepy enough to displace Fae anyway. Obviously still holding the number 2 slot in the UK 'most amusing TRA chart'.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 06/10/2019 20:37

You're not seeing it because you're a man. If you're a woman? Fae wins by a mile. The Special Rules will not allow me to explain why.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 06/10/2019 20:37

I keep humming ‘my boy lollipop’ for some reason.

It's worth noting here that paraphilias cluster (and again, special rules limit our ability to convey useful information).

Waterl00 · 06/10/2019 20:47

Nah, number 5. Somewhat creepy manner and prurient interests, but no evidence of real threat.

Promoting extreme porn is not just a serious threat but also actual harm to the women that get caught in it's net.

TheProdigalKittensReturn · 06/10/2019 20:53

Honestly, this is such a perfect example of why men need to step back and let women take the lead on this (and not try to turn conversations between women about serious stuff into an opportunity to be the Funniest Guy In The Room). It's obvious to any woman why Fae is a threat in a way that Harrop isn't.

BernardBlacksWineIceLolly · 06/10/2019 20:55

yep. the idea of being alone with Fae?

the hair on my arms is standing up. really disturbing person.

donquixotedelamancha · 06/10/2019 20:58

If you're a woman? Fae wins by a mile.

I defer to your experience. It wasn't really a serious argument that Fae is less creepy, more an excuse to riff on your post with some other delightful TRA behaviour.

The Special Rules will not allow me to explain why.

MN talk rules? I think I understand your point.

Promoting extreme porn is not just a serious threat but also actual harm to the women that get caught in it's net.

Of course, I meant in terms of personally acting on their 'interests'.

Waterl00 · 06/10/2019 21:00

The women being watched by those acting on their interests are being harmed.
