Has anyone else has this email from strava?

Not on Strava (my running days are over, and I've always viewed cycling as a "get from A to B" activity) but if I was I'd be emailing them to tell them to fuck right off and when they got there, fuck off some more.

I was an annual subscriber for Strava - no sodding way will I be renewing after this.

How utterly thick can they be? I mean they have tonnes of data showing the marked gap between men and women’s ride times all over the world yet they think it’s bigotry to fight to keep sports sex segregated!

I’ve just found this in my inbox. I will delete my account with Strava, I could cry, it has all my data from the start of learning to run, upto 10k but I’m not staying with a bunch of woke, misogynistic men, who have made their thought on women’s sport perfectly clear.

To be fair there is one single poster there supporting RK by repeatedly insisting RK was born female. When this is questioned they call the questioner a fascist and this appears to be the whole of their closing argument. There's no other engagement with the many, many issues people are raising.

I don't do Twitter, but I can tell that poster is pretty thick and has assumed all the accounts with the same pic of Magdalen Berns are the same person.

I won't be resubscribing to Strava then. Is there some way we can tell them why we are no longer using?

I sincerely hope there’s someone within Strava taking note of the responses on Twitter. Talk about not knowing your audience. And I hope people continue to delete the app until there is some sort of statement. Listen FGS!

... although now that I've had a look at the Twitter thread I think that Strava might just be beginning to realise that they've backed a loser here.

I'm actually really heartened by those messages - it seems like nobody who actually runs/cycles/swims thinks that this is fair.

I won't be deleting my Strava account for one article. I have replied to the tweet and hopefully the idiots at Strava who thought this was a good idea are getting a reality check. McKinnon is hated by all theScottish cyclists I know who know the name. I've been on Strava for several years and never read a Strava blog anyway. McKinnon is good for peak transing people.
