TRA publicly gloats about terminally ill young woman’s diagnosis and impending death

As everyone who read this will know, Magdalen Berns is terminally ill with glioblastoma and has moved to palliative care, which is the last stage of cancer. It is an absolute tragedy that a young person is in this position, and someone so brilliant and brave and committed, with so much to offer. Hideous.

I was utterly horrified to see on Twitter that Rachel Mckinnn has been publicly gloating about this fact, encouraging followers to ‘celebrate’ that Magdalen is ‘dying of brain cancer’.

This is evil, isn’t it? It’s the unvarnished face of hatred, spewing its pus out into the world.

There’s an open letter about this on Medium, but I want to do more. Does anyone have any ideas of how this could be publicised?

McKinnon in the past has also wished that we (the people who disagree with the TRA agenda) would ‘die in a grease fire’. This is a misogynist daydreaming about, and celebrating, women dying in horrible pain.

Am I right in thinking McKinnon may be coming to the UK at some point in the future? Doing what? Are there organisations involved with that visit, who can be asked publicly why they’re supporting this active, obscene, death fantasising hatred of women? Academic institutions? Cycling publications?

Is there scope for advocating for McKinnon to be barred from entering the UK, on the same grounds as are those who promote some forms of radical Islam? I know it wouldn’t succeed, but it could attract attention!

Sorry if this is covered elsewhere.

This person is rather hate filled. Would hate to be like that. So unhappy.

Their internal landscape is a dearth of light, love, or compassion. Such stunted emotional intelligence; a gloomy place to inhabit I’m sure.

So you can get any stupid, insane, crazy or regressive idea you like and as long as you can somehow disguise it as progressive, you can coat-tail at least some factions of the left. If a very important faction of the left (radical feminism) is speaking out loudly and articulately, it's difficult for the rest of the left (however misogynist) to ignore them and so it's absolutely crucial to silence them if you want to coat tail effectively. Hence the total lack of interest in attacking powerful right wing men and the disproportionate focus on relatively powerless women.

Thanks, Beans. I had not seen this wuite so clearly. Seems to me this is really, really important.

Especially considering the issues being discussed in the thread regarding Boris Johnson and the possibility of him weaponising any and all debates around trans rights v. women’s rights in the coming election campaign.

We absolutely have to make it clear to the general population that many, many feminists are part of the left, even though party politically most of the left have abandoned women.

Magdalen has gone.

Sad

Meanwhile, I think McKinnons wiki page has some additional information since I last saw it, including thesis title and link, and a section on controversy. (Whether it has all this later remains to be seen)

RIP Magdalen 💐

Why does that Wikipedia entry on cyclepath claim testosterone limits are lower for TW? That's utter bollocks!

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 13/09/2019 16:09

Because it’s not checked or proven?

Maybe someone should contact Wikipedia as it appears to be a factual error?
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Contact_us/Readers

It's got a reference to it which is in German - might be useful if someone could find out what that says.

ErrolTheDragon · 13/09/2019 18:15

In German and behind a paywall, and looks like a piece about McK rather than any sort of source for that remarkable assertion.
C'mon , Wikipedia, people do expect you to vaguely know what you're talking about.
