After posting this tone-deaf tweet, Maugham doubles down when asked by women to consider fairness and safety of female rugby players. What can make an adult, intelligent person pretend they do not understand the difference between females and males anymore?

I love how Maugham says it's 'wonderful reporting' when the BBC article, to my mind at least, seems to have a bit of a tongue in cheek tone. Not sure the journalist was as enthused and enraptured with Kelly...It seems to have gone over his head.

For a QC his arguments are astonishingly stupid. Would a rejection of Kelly lead to larger than average women being excluded from rugby? Obviously not, because the criterion for entry is being female.

Jolyon was roasted by the TRA last year, when he supported Jennifer James's campaign to the tune of £100.

He was piled on and told he was supporting nasty witchy bigotty nazi-females, and so promptly withdrew and made JJ refund his hundred quid. The god knows what - probably signed his soul away to the TRA for 26 years living in peace on twitter

LOL. The only places anyone defends this sort of idiocy are Twitter & Tumblr. In the real world most people flat out refuse to believe that anyone could be idiotic enough to let men play contact sports against women.

There will be a lot of people who won't be sad about his passing. Let's put it that way.

I don't think celebrating someone's death is ever good, but I think Koch is one where I wouldn't argue the case vigorously about it either.
