Lesbian Strength March and Rally in Leeds on 7 September 2019

I posted a link to this even some time ago and there have been various comments and more recently one for an organiser of the event which has been really interesting.

Then just now mumsnet have deleted it saying it is because it has a go fund me link in it.

Well I posted that some time ago and nobody said anything. And as I have also posted that on a number of other threads I apologise if they get deleted.

What is the problem.

We are trying to support Lesbians and some red tape that users aren't aware of do this hatchet job.

Why didn't you just deleted the post with the go fund me link.

If I believed in conspiracy theories I would say mumsnet has been nobbled by the lesbian erasure strand of transactivism.

I tracked down that page that got the previous thread deleted and did that thing the TRAs so desperately want to stop us from doing.

It's glorious to see women joining together, defying bullies and standing proud in defence of their right to set their own boundaries.

Well looks like there is at least one local paper who thinks there is no problem with finding out about and reporting that their will be a Lesbian March and Rally in Leeds.

Please be aware that there will be a fascist Free Tommy Robinson march in Leeds at 11am on Sept 7th.

We are still hoping that our march will be incident free and the police are fully aware but all women need to know that fascists and antifa may be around still.

Not sharing to cause any worries, but as tweet says to keep women informed.

(I was looking at twitter as I had thought the fundraiser was to help women with fares who cant afford to travel but there has been no info about how to claim. So am now wondering if I shared this wrong information. If so sorry. If its true, its getting quite late for women to claim and so be able to plan travel)

The weather forecast is for dry and sunny spells. Banners are being made.

Anyone who is a regular and authenticated poster PM me if you want to meet up beforehand. The Tommy Robinson thing is a worry but it does mean there will be extra police in town.

just wanted to post a quick update in case anyone needs any more info (feel free to pm message me too)

• City square is close to the station, we are happy to meet women in the station, just get in touch and let us know when you are arriving.
• March starts at 2:30. As posted above, unfortunately there is a free Tommy Robinson march at 11:30. The police are aware obviously and will be there for our march and we have our own stewards. We've planned the security side carefully to make sure that everyone can enjoy it.

-Sadly its 2019 and there can't be a lesbian only event without protestors. We need to be able to make some noise. Bring something to bang (pan/lid and spoon have been suggested)
