I posted a link to this even some time ago and there have been various comments and more recently one for an organiser of the event which has been really interesting.

Then just now mumsnet have deleted it saying it is because it has a go fund me link in it.

Well I posted that some time ago and nobody said anything. And as I have also posted that on a number of other threads I apologise if they get deleted.

What is the problem.

We are trying to support Lesbians and some red tape that users aren't aware of do this hatchet job.

Why didn't you just deleted the post with the go fund me link.

If I believed in conspiracy theories I would say mumsnet has been nobbled by the lesbian erasure strand of transactivism.

Heavy handed and unecessary.

Fantastic photos.

Feel sorry for Mike who clearly had no idea he would end up the target of such vitriol. A baptism of fire indeed and one I'm sure has been very eye opening for him.

Angryresister · 09/09/2019 10:30

Inspiring and joyful event. Fantastic meeting old friends and new, but sadly had to go before the end so didn't meet any mumsnet terms in person. So pleased we came to Leeds for it...feel strengthened by such strong wonderful lesbians and the supporters too.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 09/09/2019 10:31

It shows very clearly who the players are though. Into the daylight and all that (and some of the Menz that turned out to protest looked like they do with getting out more).

NonnyMouse1337 · 09/09/2019 10:39

The pictures are great. I do feel bad for the photographer though. Irrespective of his personal opinions, he was just doing his job photographing events. No one would say that just because he took pictures of the Tommy Robinson march that he somehow endorses or agrees with the protestors. He's merely reporting and recording such events. Yet the TRA followers love to cry heretic simply for photographing lesbians and stating that it seemed to be a lovely event with no hate. What a time to be alive!

Tyrotoxicity · 09/09/2019 10:39

Ah, yes - because women assert our right to not to be discriminated against and abused for the terrible crime of expecting our non-flexible sexual boundaries to be respected = hate. How silly of us to expect otherwise.

I was a bit annoyed by the placement of photographs in the Yorkshire Post article. The top one, the one that's visible on the post when you share it on facebook, is a picture of the anti-lesbian protesters. I suppose one could make the argument that "woke idiots think it's progressive to protest against homosexuality" is more newsworthy than "lesbians still won't stop asserting their boundaries" but on the whole I would have preferred the photo placement to have been the other way round, for purposes of boosting lesbian visibility.

Podcast which talks about my experience marching in the procession and earlier involvement with the "get the L out Manchester Pride action

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 09/09/2019 10:52

When his pics moved onto Carnival I first thought ‘oh he did Pride too...’ Pride’s really changed hasn’t it?

Tyrotoxicity · 09/09/2019 11:04

Omg DJLippy - just before the march got moving, an ally on the periphery said to me "There's already one bisexual snuck in; why don't you too?" but I couldn't because I was paralysed by my inability to work out, on the fly, whether this would be weird and somehow not on.

If I'd known they were talking about you I'd have jumped right in to say hello!

BetsyM00 · 09/09/2019 11:05

There's also an account of the march and Nicole Jones speech in honour of Magdalen here:

Glad it went well for everyone. Is there a link to the Yorkshire Post article?

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 09/09/2019 11:06

You don’t hear much from the Bs within LGB these days (or the L for that matter). Is it just GTxyz123+*^¥$€??![~< 5)3/3 days?

littlbrowndog · 09/09/2019 11:11

It’s a very weird thing where some guys try to silence women

It’s a very weird thing where some guys try to stop a man doing his job taking pictures of an event where women are

It’s very homophobic.

Silencing silencing. What country do I live in ?

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 09/09/2019 11:17

Men have been trying to silence women since Adam and Eve (I like to think that earlier societies actually revered women - them mysteriously giving birth and all).

ScrimshawTheSecond · 09/09/2019 11:17

That a photographer is being attacked for taking pictures of a march is absurd. He wasn't, apparently, attacked for his pictures taken earlier that day of the Tommy Robinson march. Only the one of lesbians. How strange.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 09/09/2019 11:18

They don’t like lesbians. Maybe if they, y’know, put on a bit of lippy and a skirt, and slept with men...

Whatisthisfuckery · 09/09/2019 11:23

I think it would be great if lesbians and gay men could march together, but saturday was not the time. It was a lesbian strength march, and inclusion of any men would have meant it was no longer about lesbians.

Isn’t this what this whole thing is all about, not wanting men in female and lesbian spaces? Lesbian erasure and the homophobia of the trans cult are two different, if related, issues, and saturday was about lesbians. Why can’t gay men organise their own event? Because they don’t care enough on mass and they can’t be arsed, that’s why, so why should we include them in ours?

umbel · 09/09/2019 11:30

The link to the photos comes up broken for me. Was the photographer finally bullied into taking them down?

littlbrowndog · 09/09/2019 11:33

Still there for me umbel

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 09/09/2019 11:45

Can anyone explain what happened to Naomi Wolf? Had she been kidnapped and replaced in come way? How has she gone from feminist to ... I don’t know what the hell they are now...

Aspley · 09/09/2019 11:57

God that poor photographer guy has been copping some shit for photographing some lesbians?!

I am actually quite shocked at the homophobia these people are infused with.

Apologies for forgetting his name but photographer man, please consider taking this abuse further (police if necessary, homophobia is a crime) but also there are journalists who could take this on these ridiculous people sending you abuse need exposed for being the vile creatures that they are.

No one should be protesting a group of lesbians holding a rally it's 2019 FFS. They certainly should not be targeting a photographer recording the event, they want to silence and shame us I cannot fathom why

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 09/09/2019 12:27

I haven’t see the attacks but can imagine - just look at the protestors - man, man, man, man, man... can’t get a lumber between the lot of them. Bitter much?

Lippysoutherner · 09/09/2019 12:42

While we were on the road, a bloke shouted at us from a pub doorway. 'I've got DVDs of you'. Vile, yes, but a clear reminder of the need to march and to assert a strong lesbian identity away from the pornified notion of our orientation as a warm up act for 'real' sex. And oddly, less disturbing than being protested for being a dyke. The last time I was heckled like that was at London Pride , 1997. Thought we'd moved on.

BingBongSong · 09/09/2019 12:43

Wonderful photos on Facebook. It looked like a joyful day. I've read the comments too - poor photographer.

So great to see Linda Bellos marching.

NonnyMouse1337 · 09/09/2019 12:55

While we were on the road, a bloke shouted at us from a pub doorway. 'I've got DVDs of you'.

Ugh.... arsehole.

Absolutely fantastic to see a lesbian only event and a healthy turnout though. I hope there will be more organised up and down the UK.

Ereshkigal · 09/09/2019 16:26

The link to the photos comes up broken for me. Was the photographer finally bullied into taking them down?

I had this problem the other day, but I could view them when they were posted by someone on my FB timeline, so no I don't think so. Must be a tech issue.
