Hello FWRs

Has anyone signed up to spinster.xyz yet? It’s like twitter but without the misogyny. No banning for stating biological truths. See you over there hopefully

Some of the replies on Joss' thread show exactly why we are poles apart. Lots of complaints that we are anti-porn, anti-prostitution and think that sex is biological!

Does Joss know that they will be kicked off of Spinster if they are found out to be there for non benign reasons?

Just been kicked off Twitter, so I’ve applied. Hope it doesn’t take too long. Clearly I’m a Twitter addict as I already feel lost!

I foresee a rage overload. What are they going to do with invalidating comments from disobedient women when they can't get them banned?

I'm on there and am really enjoying it. It's early days and so I think people are feeling their way, but there are lots of interesting discussions going on, and it is so refreshing to be able to say what you think without tone policing as you have to elsewhere. I'm sure it'll settle over the next few weeks/months as people find their natural groups; at present I'm being cautious in terms of not saying anything I wouldn't be happy to see on the front of the Mail (which is always my social media rule) or giving too much personal info out. I am using a non-specific email & anonymous username different to here and Twitter because as has been said above, I think the mere existence of the site is enraging some and so I'm fully expecting some sort of attack soon. Good luck and many thanks to those who've set it up - I think they'll have their work cut out. But I'd recommend people come over and have a look. What's the harm in having a look around?

Hilarious that Joss feels the need to monitor the wimmins. Can't let that spreadsheet get out of date!

I must admit I don't get on as well with Twitter type sites as I do with talk forums like this.

Here the discussions are organised by topics, so I can choose topics and individual discussions by their titles.

So far on spinster I can either just see a list of recent posts or I have to choose people to follow. I find this a bit strange.

Has anyone got any advice as to how to make it feel less random?

Joss and the Monitors: Spinster.xyz is silly and insignificant. It's going to implode. It's good that all those silly women are spending time there instead of Twitter. We won Twitter!

Also Joss and the Monitors: come on gang, let's spend all day on Spinster.xyz and go on about it constantly so those women have to pay attention to us!

I have appeared on a list this morning (publicised on Twitter by the usual TRAs) as a "dangerous" account on Spinster. Yaaaaaay!!!!!

I have a different name there, because I am invisible danger woman.

For a site that's unworthy of attention and just an echo chamber it seems to have quite a lot of people watching it.

I have just gone into a bit of a weird loop where someone nameless is excitedly posting on Twitter about a feminist ignoring them (well, saying they should be ignored) on spinster.

The whole time proclaiming how pointless spinster is.

I am not going to mention either name as it will just fuel more of the same.

Definitely time to head out for some fresh air!
