Isn’t this a red herring? The protection in the equality act is against less favourable treatment because of sexual orientation. Whether you label it lesbian doesn’t really matter I don’t think. The protection applies equally to heterosexual people (though obviously they need it less).

Happy to be proved wrong but as I recall the 'Pup Play Tent' at Pride was deliberately designed to entice children, there was a ball pit and other child-friendly activities as well as the dogs, do posters defending this and placing the onus on parents seriously think the Pup Players innocently designed their tent? Seriously?

Again, why would the Pride committee who, presumably, vet what their attendees are planning in regard to tents not raise questions over this in light of their promotion of Pride as a family friendly event?

The committee who organise Pride ARE responsible for safeguarding children at an event they deem suitable for children to attend.
