Excerpts:

The case cleaves opinion in two: either it is discriminatory of the beauticians to refuse to wax a trans woman's genitals regardless of what they look like, or it is discriminatory to force a woman to handle male genitals against her will.

Fiona Robertson, the SNP's National Women's and Equalities Convener, says Ms Yaniv is a female predator and that women predators often use their womanliness to gain access to victims.

To avoid Yaniv-style legal cases, the Scottish Government must be explicit in how the Equality Act will apply to any new law.

Wouldn't it be useful, instead of sloganeering and calling women c, for politicians and charities to give explicit, detailed answers to questions being asked? The only way to allay fears is to tackle them head-on.

Yeah I liked where she brought up Mairi black calling woman cunts

And the bit where Fiona Robertson saying that Yaniv was a female predator and us women use our womanly ways to abuse victims

Bonkers. And trying to defend the undefencable

girlinabluedressagain · 26/07/2019 09:33

Quite!

It's all so bloody predictable, and predicted. Of course if you say trans women are literally women in every regard and anyone can self ID as a woman, these things will happen. Of bloody course!

I am disgusted beyond my core that in 2019 women are having to go to court for the right to refuse to handle a man's genitals. Any woman, for any reason, has the right to refuse to handle any man's genitals. This case just shows the deep, deep misogyny underlying the ridiculous extremes trans activist ideology has gone to, by trying to force society to accept a counter- reality, counter-experience ideology. And it shows the deep deep misogyny that was lying underneath society that our institutions and 'progressives' have so uncritically accepted it.

FormerMediocreMale · 26/07/2019 09:36

Really great articles. It shows trans and their allies have no answers to important questions, other than calling women names.

girlinabluedressagain · 26/07/2019 09:37

And as for Fiona Robertson, the only thing as disgusting as a man sexually abusing women is a women telling female victims of male sexual violence that they must accept they are victims of a lesbian assault. Shame, shame, shame.gaslighting

FlaviaAlbia · 26/07/2019 09:40

Fiona Robertson sounds more like a MRA than anything else.

I seriously worry about her intelligence and common sense if that's what she takes away from the whole situation.

ArnoldWhatshisknickers · 26/07/2019 09:43

Fiona Robertson and her idiot ilk have backed themselves into a corner where they have no choice but to call Yaniv a 'female' predator.

This is what happens when the basic premise of your ideology is a flat out lie.

XY trans people are not women. They are no more women than Tyson Fury is.

CharlieParley · 26/07/2019 09:45

Loving the side swipe at Fiona Robertson. Good grief can you imagine reading about all of this for the very first time and seeing Robertson's comment repeated verbatim after being informed that this case hinges on whether the state will decide to force women to touch a penis against their will.

(Especially when that is not and has never been part of the job description of a female beautician providing services to females.)

Popchyk · 26/07/2019 09:48

Fiona Robertson has dug herself one mighty big hole. Hard to imagine someone being that much of a dimwit. Women predators use their womanliness to access victims? Yaniv is using his womanliness? Really?

Glad to see her getting called out for it.

Good article and good comments. People are taking notice.

We're beyond the "It will never happen" phase now. Beyond the "TWAW no debate" slogan chanting.

We're at the "It has happened so how do we deal with it" phase now. People like Mhairi Black, Fiona Robertson and Jo Swinson who are great at chanting the slogans are silent on how to deal with it.

Catastrophic failure of judgement from them in the first place.

And then doubling down and calling women names when confronted with reality.

Not anywhere near intelligent enough to hold office in my opinion.

Jamsangwich · 26/07/2019 09:49

I am so beyond disappointed with Mhairi Black. She claims to represent the most vulnerable in our society, and lectures constantly about poverty and equality....then calls women "cunts" for not being quiet as our safe spaces, toilets, changing rooms, privacy and now, our right to NOT TOUCH A STRANGE MAN'S WILLY, are taken from us. Legalised rape, that's what the silly mare is nodding along to, like a seaside donkey. She's just too fucking "woke" and stupid to realise it. I'm absolutely gutted. It's like a punch to the gut.

NotBadConsidering · 26/07/2019 09:51

Womanliness to gain access to victims? What like chicken fillets, a ball gown and a tiara? A breathy voice?

Just what the fuck does that even mean?!

Jamsangwich · 26/07/2019 09:57

Just what the fuck does that even mean?

I think she means that the lovely Jessica would help a ten year old insert her very first tampon with an eagerness that would make a labrador look unenthusiastic about food....

What? How the fuck can politicians say this sort of thing and not get massive backlash? Gobsmacked. Womanliness. Jfc

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 26/07/2019 10:20

Just what the fuck does that even mean?

As I recall after that statement she linked to a nice wee MRA list of female predators (the top two of which were men)

Every time someone parrots TWAW or any of the rest of this dick-centering pish, I think of this tweet from Magdalen Berns.

InTheHeatofLisbon · 26/07/2019 10:45

I used to have a huge amount of respect for Mhairi Black, I thought she was a breath of fresh air and I especially loved her determination to act on women's rights (WASPI women's pensions).

Then she piped up with this shit, and has ignored my letter detailing my concerns and asking if she can see the problems where trans rights supercede safeguarding.

As for framing these assaults as women on women, I am so angry I can't find words.

But I have written to Nicola Sturgeon, and to Fiona Robertson to say how ashamed I am that progressive women in politics (because until this they were progressive) haven't done their due diligence and are playing to the crowd.

I've been an SNP member my whole adult life, and there are many policies of theirs I wholeheartedly agree with. But I cannot and will not be complicit in this.

nauticant · 26/07/2019 10:50

I always thought Mhari Black was a self-righteous and sanctimonious gobshite.

JessicaWakefieldSV · 26/07/2019 10:51

How is Magdalen?

JessicaWakefieldSV · 26/07/2019 10:53

I have to admit I thought Mhairi was awesome after seeing her make a strong speech about pensions. I got reminded why I should take my time to form opinions of politicians. She is a huge disappointment. I still can’t believe she said the Jeremy Hunt thing

barelove · 26/07/2019 10:58

Letters like this might not always get replies, but they are read and they will play on their conscience. They know they are being watched and I really hope that at some point, this will result in them seeing the harm they are doing.

MockerstheFeManist · 26/07/2019 10:58

"Woman Predators," in so far as they exist, are in nearly all cases doing it to assist/please a man. Yer Rose Wests, yer Myra Hindleys etc.

LangCleg · 26/07/2019 11:00

Fiona Robertson, the SNP's National Women's and Equalities Convener, says Ms Yaniv is a female predator and that women predators often use their womanliness to gain access to victims.

Tfw your wokeness renders you indistinguishable from a red pilled MRA.

Good going, Fiona, good going!

ArnoldWhatshisknickers · 26/07/2019 11:01

Mhairi Black is typical of the woke brigade.

She is a young person from a well to do background who has little to no experience of vulnerable people. She has little experience of the harsh side of life beyond political slogans because she has never had to deal with the realities.

The SNP really should tell her to stop making a fool of herself.

JessicaWakefieldSV · 26/07/2019 11:02

I don’t know why I thought Black was working class. But yes, straight into politics from Uni was she?

Pebbles574 · 26/07/2019 11:09

Disappointed to learn that Jo Swinson is spouting the TWAW shit Sad

terryleather · 26/07/2019 11:09

I'm not sure how Magdalen is doing Jessica - maybe others here might know...?

I certainly wish her well and very much miss her active voice in this debate - she's fucking fabulous.
