Earlier in his tweet thread he says:

National Theatre Green Room bar just refused to serve us. Their grounds? Allegedly, we are a political group with views a member of staff finds offensive. So they offend a dozen customers instead.

Problem is apparently with t-shirt worn by Anne Ruzylo sporting a dictionary definition of a lesbian. As someone else has pointed out the NT is in breach of the Equality Act, given that sexual orientation and sex are both protected characteristics. I wonder how this will play out.

Wow @ that video of the policeman 'explaining'. Saying the bar can refuse service to anyone they want to, for whatever reason they want. Which is kind of true, but they cannot refuse to serve lesbians for being lesbians. I wonder what prompted whoever to say that lesbians do not have penises though? I mean, the conversation must have been about that right, for someone to say that. So was there some kind of conversation with staff, and it was the lesbian saying lesbians don't have dicks that was the 'disruptive' behaviour and 'abuse towards staff'? If so, the excuse is..pathetic.

Again, not a placard in sight though, and that appears to be a big part of the reasoning used to deny service to these women. Along with them wearing tshirts that offended people. Though still drawing a blank as to how 'lesbian: women who loves women' is offensive even to the TRA type crowd, if you think TWAW, they TW are included in women. So wheres the issue? Again, it all comes back to lesbians being openly lesbian is the problem and is what makes people feel 'unsafe'. Lesbians existing as female homosexuals.

The police dude got it wrong the way he said it and given the situation. What I meant is, speaking generally, bar staff do not have to give a reason not to serve someone. Usually they do give one, but they don't have to actually have a reason. What they cannot do is refuse to serve someone BECAUSE, for example they are lesbian. Which the NT staff clearly did do, and they doubled down on this in their statement too.

This is a list of FB gender options. It reads like something out of a comedy sketch. I am not sure how many of them are essentially the same thing

What's complicated about understanding homoSEXuality rather than homoGENDERuality?

Lesbians don't like Willie's. Because they are not sexually attracted to them. That's why they are lesbians not bisexual or heterosexual.

Unless we are saying that they are not allowed to express their sexuality (which is illegal) and must accept dicks (which advocates correctional rape) then there is nothing complex about this.

It's very simple. There is a section of the trans community and their allies which is straight up Lesbophobic.

Let's not suggest this is complex when it really isn't.
