People are saying this is “homophobia”, I didn’t even realise he was gay - what’s his sexuality got to do with anything?

Masturbating (and making amateur porn) on work premises during work hours... WHO would be okay with this!?

That definition of CSA is wrong and quite worrying. It seems to imply that sexual activity between adults and children is only “abuse” if it upsets the child at the time. But CSA may not have that effect at the time - that’s the whole point of grooming.

SophoclesTheFox · 13/06/2019 05:25

Absolutely, thecuriousmonkey

People are entitled to privacy in matters regarding their personal life. If you’re into freaky sex stuff, then regardless of what my opinion of it might be, if you keep it to yourself, then fine, whatever. It’s nothing to do with being gay, because being gay isn’t solely about sex. there’s a world of difference between wanting to live in a world where a man is free to bring his husband to the work night out, and to be welcomed and supported to do that, and a world where a man feels free to bring his collection of rubber pants with cut out winkie holes to the work toilets to make a bit of amateur porn, and anyone who doesn’t see that has something wrong with them, frankly.

Exhibitionism and splashing your fetish over the inter web to stay there in perpetuity is not someone doing something in private- we teach teenagers this! It’s not hard.

Ask Max Mosley if having your kink splashed all over the media is related to homophobia. Nobody hears his name without thinking “oh, yeah, likes to get spanked by pretend Nazis”.

It's all men defending James.

JessicaWakefieldSV · 13/06/2019 06:14

I cannot believe the amount of people who think it’s ok to wank at work, film it and publish it, when your work is the most important children’s charity. What the actual hell is wrong with people.

boldlygoingsomewhere · 13/06/2019 06:28

This! I really can’t believe people are justifying this and see it as ok. If anyone did this in my place of work it would be gross misconduct!

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 13/06/2019 06:32

oh, yeah, likes to get spanked by pretend Nazis

Grin

as for the rest of this shit show

Shock
IAmAlwaysLikeThis · 13/06/2019 06:38

jessica there is, in my opinion, a small group of people who have a vested interest in normalising this kind of behaviour. They make it look as if a lot of people think like this and then people who know it's not normal second guess themselves with posting in opposition as they don't want to appear homophobic.

FannyCann · 13/06/2019 06:54

And here's another one. Ex UN official arrested in Nepal on charges of paedophilia.

It's all men defending James

Funnily enough I asked dp about this last night.

He said obviously it wasn't good but it wasnt that bad either and its not like any children saw him Hmm

They dont get it do they. Do what you want in your own home . As long as all parties are consenting and over age then knock yourself out.

But when you bring it to work and/or involve others in your fetish/kink then tHts sexual harassment. Other peope arent there to provide the thrill of getting caught for you.

IAmAlwaysLikeThis · 13/06/2019 07:06

sarah I told my husband and he was disgusted and amazed anyone would defend it.

WizbetisaNizbet · 13/06/2019 07:07

Munroes supporters are so blinkered to the actual issue. To them all they see is transphobia. The Transperson being picked on for being trans.

They are too blinkered to see that MB was unsuitable for many reasons. The fact that MB was let go by L'Oréal and the Labour Party for racist, homophobic and sexist comments is being airbrushed.

The same with the rubber fetish guy.

We are the bigots, transphobes, hate groups not because we actually are but because they are throwing a collective temper tantrum because we have prevented them from getting their own way and are not giving in. It seems they don't like it when people say no. They is endemic of the me, me, me culture of social media. This is not about children, not to them.
This is about justification because if you admit that masturbating in a toilet or saying to children you can contact them in private then you have to start admitting that this great social justice movement that you're part of is not so great and then you start to ask questions about yourself, your behaviour and what the hell you are aligned to.

I'd say the majority of us here have children and/or are sensible mature adults who understand the need to protect children. That they come first.
These rainbow keyboard warriors can't see that. To them we're being nasty.

The wheels are coming off of the train. I believe The NSPCC is the start.

JessicaWakefieldSV · 13/06/2019 07:10

My husband thinks it’s disgusting. He previously worked for the BBC, currently at Sky. He said 100% he’d be fired from either if he did that at work.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 13/06/2019 07:15

Those saying ‘it’s ok - you are hateful’ etc etc just ignore any concerns raised

Photos on detain gear!
Hateful bigot!

Videos of them....
how much digging did you do, hateful bigot!

Not much actually it’s all way out there
Look at anyone and you will find the same, hateful bigot!

But it’s tagged as doing it at work - in costume - in the loos, that’s just not right
All fake, you hateful bigot

But they are closing down accounts pretty sharply and deleting their videos...
HATEFUL BIGOT! I’m calling the police!

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 13/06/2019 07:16

yes, the issue is not chappie getting his kicks wearing rubber, the issue is chappie linking that to his online CV, wanking at work in his fetish gear and posting videos of himself to internet to prove it.

it's the linking of his professional and fetish life.

i'm sure his fellow rubbermen of london would be delighted to walk in on him wanking in his rubber onesie. I'm equally sure that his colleagues at the NSPCC would feel horrified and threatened in that same situation.

people at work haven't consented to participate in your kink. leave them alone.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 13/06/2019 07:23

Another one who thought it was disgusting...at work and the filming and linking of it

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 13/06/2019 07:27

But some people have so much invested in the whole debacle they will never ever denounce this.

Fun fact - I almost applied for that job. I’m really boring though, and the worst I do is have 9 items in my basket in the ‘8 items or less’ queue.

ZebrasAreBras · 13/06/2019 07:29

Just shows - men's sexual rights are paramount.

Man wants to wank off & piss himself in fetish gear? Don't kink shame him, you homophobe!

Man wants to wank off & piss himself in fetish gear at work? So what, bigot!

Man works at a children's charity? Puts video online? Still fine, you bigot - it's not as if any children saw him!

Unbelievable. I'm afraid to say, this chip-chip-chip away at people sexual boundaries has been very successful. Because if this had happened 10 or 15 years ago - it would be front page news.

ChiaraRimini · 13/06/2019 07:31

The state of the Twitter comments, absolutely brainless.
-it's not like he was doing it at work!
(Yes he was)
-maybe it wasn't really him!
-maybe it wasn't really at work!
-why were people looking for this on the (public) internet anyway!

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 13/06/2019 07:40

Some people seem to think that this is all very pedestrian and exactly the same thing as ‘knowing’ that Mrs Smith in accounts must definitely has sex at least once because she has a child. Identical!

Floisme · 13/06/2019 07:41

I think there's something quite odd about the outrage from Owen Jones and co. As pps have said, I don't remember this level of indignation when Jess Bradley was suspended. (Where is Bradley by the way?) What I recall is OJ twisting himself into knots trying to distance himself from Bradley without actually being critical, and also a spoof doing the rounds on Twitter which some people at the time complained was in very poor taste:

What a difference a year makes.

SunsetBeetch · 13/06/2019 07:42

Lest we forget this gem from Owen Jones

Simon Danczuk MP has watched porn – why should we care?

This is why the category of Sex has been dropped so quickly from the protected characteristics.

They think that means, protected from anything.

They do not recognise that it should mean protected from discrimination.

Being gay, or trans, should not exempt you from the normal rules of society.

We knew the NSPCC were not fit for purposeck, the non appearance at the MN chat was blatant. This is a scandal and we should not let them say 'lessons will be learnt'.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 13/06/2019 07:47

Whoopsie

My post should say another one whose HUSBAND thought it was disgusting

KatvonHostileExtremist · 13/06/2019 07:49

Can't wait to read precious LOJ's thoughts on how it's fine to wank and piss yourself into a rubber suit whilst at work at a children's safeguarding charity. We're all human after all.

Honestly. 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

sackrifice · 13/06/2019 07:49

Where is Bradley by the way?

Bradley's post was 'unfunded'. So that they didn't have to go through the rigmarole of an investigation. How convenient.

And they have now miraculously found the money to replace him.
