If this person can use anything to keep this person in the centre of anything, then this person will use that to their advantage.

Oger saying that Ogerself can’t see the (wood) sexual predator for the (trees) transphobia doesn’t stack up anyway, but the lie is especially obvious when you consider that Mir and Rose were saying it along with Megan and Alicia.

Rose of Dawn is a young articulate transexual whose aim appears to be to achieve societal acceptance to enable them to live with their dysphoria, rather than to demand "rights" and the dismantling of societal protections.

She tracked the NUS/Jess Bradley saga and has featured Morgane Oger recently. The JY piece last week seemed brave yet very little obvious complaint, for something that might well have had others thrown off platforms. .

Perhaps MO is concerned that there is a group of younger cooler brighter trans people, seeking acceptance rather than attention and who are ready to call-out those who they feel stand in their way. Far harder to dismiss than Terves.

(And weird how political parties fall over themselves to lay out the red carpet for Lily Madigan and Aimee Challenor, whilst ignoring Fionne Orlander, Rose of Dawn and others. The wonderful MRKHvoice who speaks up for intersex people perhaps. Do those so keen to promote young trans women, want people they can control rather than those who might have their own views and an informed interest in wider issues.)

When both women and transpeople and GC and non-GC people are saying someone is a monster, however, it’s a lot more likely that they are actually a monster. Y’know, like JY.

JY has “connections” at Twitter and is able to get anyone who calls him out banned (Megan Murphy, for example).

MO low-key defended JY’s actions just last week.

The reason Yaniv had cover was the methods used by TERFs

So MO has dumped JY, but there's clearly still an ally somewhere there at Twitter. It's crazy how easily JY has people permanently banned. People with old accounts and a strong record of uncontroversial content, often publicly known people like journalists or political commentators. Doesn't matter - if JY hits the button, they're out. Hate to admit it but that's one hell of a superpower to have, and to be able to abuse.

Also MO doesn't seem stupid enough not to realise that few will be fooled by the tardy reaction. Like JY, MO knows that MO is pretty much bulletproof by the look of things. Those who matter to MO won't care about the detail or nuance. That's a worry too.

Betty though I'm not attributing these qualities to any one person, I think, in general:

When you're caught up in a runaway train scenario of your own making, you may well not be stupid, you may well be of normal intelligence, but all of the above may override your rational brain and cause you to make irrational decisions, statements and claims.

Everyone talks about his “friends in high places” at twitter. But who the hell wants to be friends with him? How high up in twitter do you need to be to have the power of banning people? I know, but unless those friends are people right at the very top one would think a few senior execs would be seeking out the culprits and investigating.

Still, at our annual NHS Information Governance training we are always cautioned not to access our own, or our family's records to eg. Check recent blood test results etc. Which would be very simple to do and save the effort of ringing up the GP. I never would because I never would and also because I know it is somethings IT audits and every year they catch people. Apparently in a recent trawl they caught someone high up enough in the trust that it was difficult to find someone senior enough to discipline them. So I guess I'm thinking along those lines.
