People like Oger are exactly why this situation with Yaniv has come about. Institutional capture and a hefty dose of teflon is what has enabled it.

Mealy mouthed platitudes and trying to shift blame to women won't wash. Most people see the situation for exactly what it is.

Well, clearly. How was Oger supposed to know that the obviously creepy paedo was an obviously creepy paedo when it was pointed out by women who didn't simperingly agree that Oger was a beautiful butterfly despite gleefully campaigning to shut women off from support when those women were raped?

Oger had no choice but to ignore warnings about obvious creeps because we weren't nice enough to Oger. This will probably get deleted because I said obviously creepy paedo, and that's been happening for ages to un-compliant women who point out the creepy paedo too, supported by Oger.

I hope Canadian feminists are gearing up to rip Oger a new one.

Oger is basically saying that women are to blame for JY because women talked about how weird and predatory JYs behaviour was. If women hadn't talked about JYs creepy predatory behaviour than Oger would have listened to them. But because women did talk about this Oger et al didn't listen to them and that makes it women's fault. And if they want Oger to listen to them when they flag concerns about men who are abusing self-ID they need to not talk about their concerns.

Oger then directs Oger's readers to channel their anger at the women who talked about JYs predatory behaviour instead of the JY and the community which shielded JY and protected JY from serious scrutiny.

You. Couldn't. Make. This. Shit. Up.

MO is a creep.
I hope people keep calling them out for their gross negligence and sheer ridiculousness. TW are NOT women and actual women deserve to be protected by virtue of their biological sex. Self-iD allows predators like JY to flourish and it is not transphobic to state this whatever MO says.
I truly hope this is the beginning of the end for MO's political career as well. Couldn't happen to a nicer person Angry

Geordie I very much hope you're wrong, but I'd not bet on it. Oger is always only for Oger after all.

Oger is accepting no personal liability (they have had numerous convos with JY re JYs human rights') or liability on behalf of TRAs. In fact has stated several times (including the end of the piece) that the reason they ignored everything 'transphobes' and 'terfs' said since 2013 is because we lie and fear monger. So that's nice.

So in amongst the word salad and the general blame shifting, is the point of this article by MO to deny Alicia Hendley's account (without directly making it clear that's what MO is doing?)

Alicia says "We spoke for almost an hour, and Oger listened to my concerns, telling me that other women had reached out regarding JY’s behaviour as well.Oger stated that it would be fruitless to bring such concerns to law enforcement unless there was concrete, verifiable evidence to present them with I was encouraged to find possible sources and to get in touch if I found any. "

MO says "i urged each woman to make a complaint with police on the basis of the things they said happened. I hope this has an effect and with enough police reports there may be a case."

So which one was it, was MO urging women to go to the police or was MO telling them it would be fruitless?? Confused

And why was MO taking it upon MOself to play Nancy Drew with sexual abuse allegations?? And encouraging Alicia to do the same.

We know that JY's behaviour has been well documented for ages, but this little article by Morgane Oger, hints at a deliberate witholding of information.
I think it is safe to say, that MO's whole political manifesto is built around trans rights, there is nothing which benefits 99.5% of people.

It reminds me of how women aren't to be believed in rape cases either. Women raised the alarm about Yaniv and for Oger, this wasn't enough. The whole piece screams "I am protecting my political career and I'll smear the women who brought this to my attention". The remark about ' naturally there will be a higher rate of sexual predators in an oppressed group' isn't true of XX. Only XY. This is a reminder to write to your MP to keep the XY out of Women's prisons.
