Hi I'm a long time lurker, who read with disgust the last thread and wants to send , to caro. I've scanned since last thread finished for new one but no luck! Hope no one minds if I start one!

If this level of harassment and stalking was being done to someone with any other protected characterostic than female, the police and local news would be all over it.

So the police know who these people are - and they are sending takeaways? So the takeaway company know who they are too.

This is bonkers. Shame they can’t have their names published. I’m sure there are enough sensible people in their lives that will have a word (if the police really can’t be bothered).

Did a certain poster get banned yesterday? What was the msg from mnhq?

The now-banned poster managed to get a number of threads deleted. Here's an example of one of their deletion messages:

Nothing says entitlement like putting local takeaway businesses out of pocket to harass someone. It all adds to the audit trail I guess, and it’s harder for the police to ignore when there are businesses and individuals affected.

With the pizza deliveries, you can go into the local branch with proof of id and address, explain what's going on with prank orders and ask them to put a password on your account so that they only take orders when they're given the password.

Unsurprisingly the derailer from yesterday’s support thread is on twitter bleating about how MN throwing them off is a breach of the equality act 2010. Nope, it’s not at as if all transwomen are banned from posting, just people posting in bad faith, or with a deliberate agenda to derail a thread.

Afaik, it’d be a potential breach if someone without said protected characteristic didn’t get banned for doing the same thing - you need a comparator to show discrimination. I’ve no doubt if I started posting bad faith threads about segregating changing rooms by opinion or suggesting people who don’t share my ideology ought to be studied, I’d probably get banned too, and rightly so. It had nothing to do with poster’s trans status and everything to do with their gyratory-primate behaviour, which isn’t protected.

How would anyone at MN even know their gender identity? They referred to themselves as a woman on their threads.

This sort of thing can wear people down. Great that you are having so much joy around your children's achievements in the midst of this. It's a reminder what a lovely feeling of peace and security one's family can bring and all these losers on your case don't have that.

I have posted on my FB about how I want womens refuges and wards to be single sex spaces and that I don't accept that TWAW. There's an interesting discussion going on, I think tire's a few friends and colleagues peak transing.

It's not much. But, If more of us speak up then the TRA can't concentrate on you.

If everyone lurking and commenting on your thread made a GC comment on FB then maybe things could change. I was scared to - I worried about my job and then I realised I was silencing myself.

Im really shocked Caro. Lots of support from here too. I am not far from you and if children are involved police in this are are really hot on taking action. Just cant believe that Surrey are so bad.

It was interesting that the now-banned poster hasn't copied any screenshots of people responding to their threads. If they did, it would undermine their claims that it's all mindless transphobia. If there had been any examples of mindless transphobia, the NBP would have shown them on Twitter.

Oh they’re getting all caught up in their own silliness... claiming to me here, still on the first thread, that I was defaming them for saying they’re not a real lawyer & then claiming they’re overseen by a professional body... except statements from them re Graham Linehan state clearly that there is no requirement for any lawyer to be registered with a professional body unless undertaking reserved activities, which they claim they do not... except when they’re party to proceedings which seems to be a fairly regular thing for this person.

They say they're suing Mumsnet. I can't imagine that will stand up in court, but it'll be interesting to see the evidence presented. The NBP is telling everyone that Mumsnet is full of transphobic abuse, but in court they would need to prove that, and I don't see how they can.

Not going after kiwifarms then?
It’s total BS to be targeting Mumsnet, both HQ & users. But this is literally all they do with their time.

Yes their behaviour reflects very badly on no one but themselves. These boards are moderated and unkind behaviour is not acceptable. There is only so long they can scream ‘hateful transphobic bigots’ for, before their whole illusion of respectability comes crashing down. The obsessive behaviour pattern is very revealing.....
