And, as she says in the thread:

"Meanwhile a group of people have terrified and harassed my family. Doxed my children, made violent and sexual threats, signed me up to porn accounts, did the same to my husband, threatened to visit here. And tumbleweed..."

Good news indeed. Still doesn't erase the stress Caroline & family have been put through. Caroline Flowers.

I've been trying to read all this, 21 pages on my phone now, but can't see if this has yet come up very often. Caroline is a journalist. Are you, Caro, a union member? If so, surely your union should have something to say about the attempted silencing of journalists?

MhairiV · 20/03/2019 10:40

How can it be okay for someone to go on BBC and discuss this without Caro having been formally advised that the complaint has been withdrawn?

How can it also be okay for Susie Green to pursue a personal vendetta over hurt feelings with support from the police?

This is all so ridiculous.

For those with more background knowledge has Green ever discussed the operations in detail herself?

littlbrowndog · 20/03/2019 10:42

Green has on video
And laughed about it as there was not enough of a penis to make a faux vagina
The laughing was horrid

AncientLights · 20/03/2019 10:42

Oh now I am confused as to whether this is going ahead or not.

littlbrowndog · 20/03/2019 10:43

James Kirkup put it on spectator us this morning
I saw it this morning there is a linky on this thread

castration/kaˈstreɪʃ(ə)n/

The removal of the testicles of a male animal or man.

ToeToToe · 20/03/2019 10:46

How old is Susies ‘child’ now?

27 I think. And living in Rome, apparently.

One of the men on GMB this morning definitely seemed to think they were discussing a child - ie. someone who is currently still a child.

JackyHolyoake · 20/03/2019 10:47

Medical definition of castration:

"Castration (also known as gonadectomy) is any action, surgical, chemical, or otherwise, by which an individual loses use of the testicles. Surgical castration is bilateral orchiectomy (excision of both testes), and chemical castration uses pharmaceutical drugs to deactivate the testes. Castration causes sterilization (preventing the castrated person or animal from reproducing); it also greatly reduces the production of certain hormones, such as testosterone."

So, what was it Green arranged for her child at age of 16 years if it was not this? Is Green saying that her child still has testicles?

Just mentioned on This Morning in an interview with the person sueing Southern Rail for misgendering. They were still operating on the understanding that the complaint was using wrong pronoun. Transperson conceded that mistakes happen but that no one's beliefs allow them to misgender. Phil seemed to be wavering.

Needmoresleep · 20/03/2019 10:49

There is something circular going on here. SG is upset because Caro highlighted the fact that she enabled her 16 year old son/daughter (15 when he/she got on the flight to Thailand) have his/her testicles and penis surgically removed (in other words, castration).

Yet many people's problem with SG, and the reason why we do not think she should be leading a publicly funded charity aimed at children, is because she did precisely that.

JessicaWakefieldSVH · 20/03/2019 10:50

Did Susie basically called the police because she was upset about Caroline criticising her actions in language she thought was too harsh? The word castration seems a trigger point, even though it's factually accurate.

That what it seems like to me.

Yes, alerting all media, Jackie is now an ADULT

CaptainMarvelBunting · 20/03/2019 10:50

I do hope MNHQ will not be deleting the posts here that mention the c word which Susie Green does not like as they have in the past, considering this has just been discussed on national telly.

R0wantrees · 20/03/2019 10:50

There's a need for actual investigative journalism here.
Rather than simply reporting and platforming claims, counter claims & allegations.

LizzieSiddal · 20/03/2019 10:52

How can it be okay for someone to go on BBC and discuss this without Caro having been formally advised that the complaint has been withdrawn?

I agree with this. The BBC have aired and discussed Tweets, which are still the subject to a criminal investigation, as far as Caro and the Police are concerned.

Are they supposed to do this kind of thing?

littlbrowndog · 20/03/2019 10:54

See posie is on the comments in times piece
She is still waiting on cps descion after green made 2 complaints to police about posies YouTube channel

Green seems to have hot line to police and influence to try and silence anyone

endofthelinefinally · 20/03/2019 10:55

Is gender a protected characteristic? Or is it sex that is a protected characteristic?
India Willoughby stated that the former is law, but I thought it was the latter.

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 20/03/2019 10:55

I remember when journalists did due diligence before broadcast/publishing.

Those were the days.

JessicaWakefieldSVH · 20/03/2019 10:56

I agree with this. The BBC have aired and discussed Tweets, which are still the subject to a criminal investigation, as far as Caro and the Police are concerned.

They’re not supposed to, no. Not that they give a shit, but to waste their time we should all make complaints. Again.

NoseringGirl · 20/03/2019 10:56

Gender reassignment is a protected characteristic, as well as sex I believe.

KenDoddsDadsDogsDead18 · 20/03/2019 10:57

Anyway, why aren't we discussing the real issue? Wtf was that cooker splash back?

KenDoddsDadsDogsDead18 · 20/03/2019 10:57

That was a hate crime against kitchens.

JackyHolyoake · 20/03/2019 10:59

endofthelinefinally

"Is gender a protected characteristic?"

The protected characteristic is "gender reassignment".

Sex is also a protected characteristic.

"Gender reassignment" does not supersede sex as a protected characteristic, much as the trans lobby would lie this to be the case. The trans lobby wants to remove sex from UK law and replace it and "gender reassignment" with the undefined notion of "gender identity".

What transgender ideology propagates is the notion that biological sex does not exist, that all humans are defined in terms of gender; ie: femininity and masculinity. Thus, in terms of their ideology, a person born male who expresses himself in terms of what he perceives to be 'femininity' is a feminine person and is entitled to all the rights, spaces, treatments etc other 'feminine' people have; and vice versa. This means that the entirety of society becomes mixed sex in all circumstances. No-one has any right to any sex-segregated space or treatment anywhere.

Understandably, this is very worrying in terms of the safety, privacy and dignity of girls and women who are subjected constantly to abuse in very many forms by males.

heresyisthenewblack · 20/03/2019 10:59

Let's talk a scenario, where we remove the glitter (any similarities to people living or dead is purely coincidental!):

A child liked to play with "the wrong kind" of toys. The parents threw away all the toys. The child developed an identity issue. The child's mother went around the world to find doctors who would treat her child's identity issue with experimental drugs. This caused her child to be chemically sterilized at the age of 12. She then took her child abroad to be castrated at 16. The child is now dependent on unlicensed medication for the rest of their life, with little known about the long-term effects of the "treatment" they went through. If the operation to castrate the child and create an orifice was done with a loop of bowel (as there was not enough penile skin to invert in the traditional method) then I'm informed the child will likely need to undergo repeat surgery around every 10 years (the bowel used for that orifice will eventually develop defunctioning colitis, and will have to be surgically replaced).

Now. Should such a mother be lauded for doing this to her child? Should she be invited onto national television so journalists can fete her and encourage other parents to follow her footsteps? Should she be using the police as her personal attack dog to arrest any mothers who criticize her parenting on Twitter? Should the charity she heads be given significant sums of public money?
