I just want to say a huge "thank you" to Rachel McKinnon.

They have helped to bring a hugely important topic into the mainstream media, and in doing so have peak-transed thousands of new people!

They have also attracted the attention of numerous iconic female sports stars: Martina and Dame Kelly Holmes, to name just two. This will surely encourage many more women to come forward.

You cannot buy publicity and exposure this good!

Thank you Rachel. You may be a feminist icon after all! (But not quite in the way you envisioned...)

I honestly wonder whether we are witnessing an experiment in applied philosophy. Is RmK testing the hypothesis of their own PhD thesis? Or testing where the limit is for how much self evident gobshite you can make people believe by sounding assertive.

Well Dr M I won't pretend I was on the fence about this issue but plenty of my friends were. A personal attack on Dame Kelly and Sharron pushed them off it. So and to you!

I think we should start a gallery of "best of Rachel" screengrabs of tweets. This one in particular deserves to be remembered.

People who have previously said that my views on sex vs gender are outdated are openly talking about this issue in ways I had hit thought possible. Trans persons in sport has definitely started a much needed debate so I thank you is in order!

I've started following lots of female sports people on Twitter.
I hate sport.
But I know wrong from right.

Credit where credit is due.
No-one has done more to bring attention to the intolerant, selfish, bullying nature of the extreme end of the trans activists.

Just think Rachel, (and I know you will read this) if only you had been polite to Martina last year? If only, you could have been a heroine of the trans movement, working with Martina to fulfil your dreams of allowing transwomen to compete against women with no restrictions. Instead, now look what you have done. Look at what you have done.

Oh and you just keep attacking icons of British sport like Sharron and Kelly and even more thousands will be exposed to the sensation of "peak-trans"

If anyone has done more to rouse prominent women in sport to speak out, I'm not aware of it.

What's key is that whilst sport might be the "entry" into the debate for many people it absolutely refutes the TWAW mantra and you can't say "TWAW apart from sports...."

If you do agree that biological males should be allowed to compete against women then your misogyny is unmasked.

From there the house of cards starts to fall.

I think I see an earring in the pic of McK on a bike - nice girly touch there. I take it McK knows about cultures that pierce the ear lobes of baby girls so people can tell that they are girls and not boys. Generally this becomes irrelevant after a certain age 'cos most of us can tell by eyeballing. But on occasions it may be necessary to continue just for clarity. Wouldn't want to make a mistake like that.
