I just want to say a huge "thank you" to Rachel McKinnon.

They have helped to bring a hugely important topic into the mainstream media, and in doing so have peak-transed thousands of new people!

They have also attracted the attention of numerous iconic female sports stars: Martina and Dame Kelly Holmes, to name just two. This will surely encourage many more women to come forward.

You cannot buy publicity and exposure this good!

Thank you Rachel. You may be a feminist icon after all! (But not quite in the way you envisioned...)

Re bikes womens bikes are generally shorter from seat to handle bars.

Womens proportions are different to mens. Women have longer legs and shorter torso. Hence if you have a man and women with the same height his bike will have lower saddle but longer distance between saddle and handle bars than hers.

Incidentally for the same spec'd womens bike you'll pay more.

Dr M is very keen on using Dr M's title of Dr. (Does that remind us of any other well known Dr on twitter...) I'm sure Dr M would hate to be mistaken for a doctor of science or medicine whilst twittering...... .
